Hi, you're right Vinnie; I posted some parts of it on another thread, I got kicked out of WIFI, and didn't have WIFI.

We toured the Airstream factory for the trailers and later I went through the Interstate plant. We met a lot of people in the Terraport and I even gave a tour of our trailer. They were impressed with my mods. WE stayed for two nights. I bought an Airstream mouse pad [$5.00] and a screw cover base [$.07] for my shower. That was all I could afford. We also stayed out at night dodging the Mosquitos while watching the fire flies.

Hi, I toured the Ford Rouge assembly plant where they are building the Aluminum F-150. There was a really fantastic laser show on the way in; All I can say is the show is indescribable. No pictures allowed. I spent the rest of the day walking around in the Henry Ford Museum. I took over three hundred pictures. Cars, trucks, planes, farm equipment, power plants, furniture, signs, and so much more. This is a must see place.

Hi, WIFI here only works at the office or the Canteen. I came out here last night to post, but my battery was almost dead and the only outlets were being used by the kid employees. And they had a fourteen things plugged into one dual outlet. Today I drove back to Dearborn to tour Greenfield town; It was much larger than I thought. Basically it is old original houses and machine shops Etc. that were owned and lived in by middle class people who made a mark in history. There was a steam engine train ride and rides on/in model "T"s, Model "A" busses, Horse drawn wagons/carriages and more. Houses and buildings are from Henry Ford, the wright brothers, Etc. I took about two hundred pictures there today.

2014 f-150.

Hi, today after visiting the ford complex, I took my truck to Fairlane Ford for it's first oil change. My oil life was down to 7% and my truck has just short of ten thousand miles on it. There was also a recall for seat frame clearance. [that's all I know about the recall] I went back to the camp ground to pout my awning up because the possibility of rain. And I took Dusty for a nice walk. On the way back with Dusty, I noticed something hanging under my truck. There is a rubber shield and part of it un-snaps for servicing. They left it hanging loose and got oil on my door panel too. I put the shield back in place and I will clean my door panel later. Right now, I'm too busy using WIFI while it's still working.

I had to retype most of this post because I got kicked out again.

Hi, today we went to tour the Edsel and Eleanor Ford house. There was a nice café there and since we didn't have any real breakfast, we had lunch there. Lee ordered a Monte Christo and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and we cross shared. The drive there was fine, but the return trip wasn't as nice. Too much traffic. One of the things that we moved away from. But that's all part of traveling. The ford house is quite large and is located along the lake. Their property is about the size of our little neighborhood in Salem.

Tonight's posting is being done from inside of my truck ton avoid the smokers; I just can't take it. I moved from table to table last night and finally gave up.

Note: the last two pictures were taken at the children's playhouse.

Rent is due, so tomorrow morning we will be moving on.

Thanks Bob,

This is great. I'll have to put the Ford factory and Museum on my list of places to see. Hey, what's with the barrel vaulted ceiling?

Hi, I guess that was Edsel ford's idea; We were told that Eleanor Ford made the decision on most of the rest of the house.

Tell Carol to closes her eyes for this post.

Hi, this morning we packed up and left camp Dearborn; That place was packed last night. Only one empty space in the whole place. It was party city. Today new crossed the famous Mackinac Bridge. We will be staying at the TIKI RV park& campground for four nights. On the way over to our campground, Lee spotted something, so we went back. It's a place called Castle Rock and for $1.00 you can climb to the top and see almost everything. They say it's only about 200 feet high. well Bob did it again and have a few pictures to prove it.

Cat fight..........Not really, but...

Hi, today [7-25-2015] I was given an address to enter into Caroline, but she directed us to go South when Lee said we should be going North. After going about 25 miles in the wrong direction, It was Lee against Caroline and Bob hiding in the innocent back round. I decided to check Caroline's avoidances. I remember only instructing Caroline to avoid "U" turns. When I looked into the settings, I found almost everything was checked off. And to avoid tolls, road construction, heavy traffic, and whatever other choices there were, Caroline was going to have us go back to California to get to Northern Michigan from Southern Michigan, and Lee wasn't going to have it. After un-checking all of the avoidances except for "U" turns, we were once again happily on our way. This little incident cost us about one hour, and fifty miles, in the wrong direction.

I have been trying to take a picture of a road sign, but we keep missing it. It says, basically, If you hurt or kill a worker, it's $7,500 + 15 years. Also there are three speed limits here. 70 MPH for cars, 60 MPH for trucks, and a minimum speed of 55 MPH. Depending on the speed limits and the flow of traffic, we are mostly going 65 MPH and sometimes 70 MPH. Power, handling, and comfort of my new truck is great; Gas mileage is about the same as my Lincoln. I'm still curious about running Premium in it to see if it makes any difference. Some say it gives more power and better mileage. If and when I try it, I want to do it where the gas is still near or under $3.00 per gallon.

Bob,

I've always heard using fuel of a higher octane than the vehicle specs is a waste of money. If the fuel is more volatile at higher octane (I'm assuming that is the case), you may get preignition. In high altitude regular is 2 octane lower than at lower elevation, but I've always used regular (most Toyotas take regular) regardless and have noticed no difference between 85 and 87.

I always guess wrong when I think I've figured out where you are going next, so I'll chance it again—across the UP, into Wisc., then to Duluth (railroad museum, some restaurants near the lift brings and the lift bridge itself, good public CG on Duluth's southside), up and around Lake Superior—and I'll quit being wrong now.

Hi, Gene; In my experience, using the wrong octane on a newer car, hurts rather than helps. In ancient times, Higher octane with a bit more spark advance made a big difference. As per the Ecoboost, Ford recommends using 87 octane for normal driving and premium when heavily loaded or towing. Also the new Navigator Ecoboost is supposed to run premium, but can run regular, but at a loss of power. Also some Mustangs can run regular, but need premium for the performance mode.

The rules keep changing.
