Crappy WIFI.

Hi, seem as though, as soon a s I type a full page, I get kicked out.

So if I type a line, post, and edit again I won't loose everything, but what a pain.

We have traveled over 2,500 miles so far and have had zero problems with the truck, but three problems with our trailer.

The tongue jack has decided to pop fuses at the worst time, so I installed my circuit breaker. My largest closet door didn't want to close properly so I had to tighten two screws on the hooked striker.

Our stove top igniter froze and would not turn. I removed it so I could match it up and buy a new igniter. I took it all apart and found nothing wrong with it but it still wouldn't turn. I took it apart again and lubed the cog wheel and shaft with WD-40. I turned it a few times while holding it and it shocked me. I re-installed, tested it, and my wife thinks I'm great and might keep my around for a bit longer.

Hi, we are now at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Calidonia, Wisconsin. We were given an electronic gate pass and lime green wrist bands.

The wrist bands are non-removable and we don't plan on wearing them every where we go. So I removed the locking pins and installed two sided tape on them so we can remove them whenever we want to.

Hi, the mosquitoes are in every camp ground and they find me right away. I have some lotion that works great, but when Dusty has to go out in the morning, I don't have time to protect myself. This morning we got rain, lightning, and thunder. And now, I have to have an old towel in the entrance to collect the mud. I will try again to get more pictures, but this place has too much control over it's WIFI.

Hi, I tried to post one more picture, but they locked me out again. This is an expensive camp ground, they should have better WIFI.

Wright was a great designer and self promoter, but not a very good architect. A couple of years ago they rebuilt Falling Water because it would have fallen into the water. To his credit the hotel he built in Tokyo withstood a major earthquake better than a lot of Japanese buildings.

Glad to learn Frank filled nail holes too. I never get the putty to match the wood (pine, of course).

St. Josaphat Basilica.

Hi, destination number one today was to the St. Josaphat Basilica. This is something that I would never expect to see here in the USA. More like in Europe. There are many ancient looking buildings and churches all over Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I reduced my pictures down to 10% in hopes of getting them posted.

Hi, today we went to a Korean restaurant for lunch; It was really good and everyone was friendly, but I told them that I wouldn't come back here again, [waiter looking puzzled] we live too far away.

After lunch we drove around looking for Laverne and Shirley. Or, I think it was Schlatz Beer factory. We couldn't find that either. My wife said it's probably all run down by now and I said it was already run down back then.

Dusty stayed at home in our trailer for four hours; That is about the maximum time that we can leave him alone. He took care of business and had been fed before we left. We also set the air conditioner, cracked one window, and opened both vents. He was fine when we returned.

Harley Davidson Museum.

Hi, after lunch we drove across town and paid a visit to the Harley Davidson museum. It was quite interesting even for a non-Harley fan. But by someone who likes machinery. My favorite tire used on some of Ford's model "T"s was also found on some Harleys today. Lots of interesting engines of the past and some concept engines too. One was a V-4 water cooled engine that never made it to production. There were also some Porsche V-4 and V-6 prototypes that were never made. They looked real, but the sign said parts of the engine were made out of wood.

If you haven't figured it out yet, my favorite antique tire is the "NON- SKID" tire.

English Ford designed a V4 water cooled engine in the 1960's that they never used. It was supposed to be for a subcompact (also never produced) called the Cardinal. But the engine (design or actual engine, I'm not sure) ended up in some late 60's and early '70's Saabs. I had a '68 station wagon with one and it was great—4 stroke, so no oil added to gas. It was powerful and I could get 40 mpg. As emission controls came into being, the engine didn't like them. Saab then engineered a straight 4 they used in the first 99 (1969)—bimetal and head gasket nightmare. It would stall for no known reason. I got rid of it and ended up backtrading for 2 '68's. Yes, I digress, but that little Ford V4 might have worked on a motorcycle.

Hi, Gene; I once worked at a GMC/Oldsmobile dealer. They also sold Saabs. It was a Saab Sonette that had a Ford V-4 in it and it was like the 2600 Capri V-6 with two cylinders cut off. All of the internal parts were the same. I thought it was a neat car except for the cardboard dash panel. The Capri in Europe used the V-4 engine, but it never made to the USA in a Ford/Mercury product.

7-15-2015 Morning.

Hi, we went a few days without WIFI even though they had WIFI, it didn't work. Don't you just hate that? Well on the 15th in the morning I went to the Illinois Railroad Museum. It is stated to be the largest in the nation. They do have a lot of trains. It reminds me of the Railroad Museum in Perris, California. But does not compare with the Sacramento Railroad Museum. I still enjoyed checking it out and riding on an electric Trolly Car.

7-15-2015 Afternoon.

Hi, in the afternoon Lee wanted to go to the Sky Deck in the Willis Tower. This used to be the Sears Tower, but they changed the name. The Sky Deck is on the 103rd floor, 110th being the top floor. I wasn't scared of being there because I deemed it mechanically safe. And it only goes out about two or three feet. I had a heck of a time trying to find a place to park my F-150. I should know, but don't know, how tall my truck is. The parking garages said 6'3"s and 6'2"s. I finally found one that I could get into, but they had to park it. I was more afraid of leaving Dusty alone in our trailer, and what could happen to my new truck in the hands of the unknown. All worked out well except that poor Dusty was left alone too long. He was OK. Driving through downtown Chicago is crazy; I turned on my Los Angelus Mode and no-one got away with bullying me in the city, because I have lots of big city experience.
