In fact some of them weren't nuts until they had beer.

Hi, this morning we left Salem, Oregon and drove the coastal route. It was a beautiful, scenic, and rainy drive. We stopped along the ocean at a nice turn-out for lunch. The rain stopped as we had our lunch, but continued as we drove. Right now it is still raining pretty hard. Boo-Boo doesn't care if it rains or not; when he wants to go out, we go out. Ever try to hold Mary Poppins, a poop bag, a flash light, and a little dog's leash?

Yeah, Oregon is a pretty place. I haven't been there in a while. Of course we did get our Airstream from up there......but it was winter and it was a fast journey.

Hi, tonight we stopped at Riverside RV Resort in Brookings, Oregon. It's a nice little camp ground with great WIFI. There were several small deer greeting us as we entered. I wanted to take some pictures of the deer, but it got dark fast, and they disappeared.

Hi, we stayed up late tonight. It's been real exciting tonight. It rained more tonight, here in Brookings, Oregon than Lakewood gets in a year. At night my door window looks black, all of the other windows are blocked with curtains. My door window suddenly turned bright white and then there was a huge explosion type sound. [lightning and thunder] I wasn't expecting to have this lightning and thunder thing since it was just raining for hours on end. I did not use my surge protector and we were both using our computers. No way in H*ll I'm going out now and plug in my surge protector and get electrocuted; We can buy new lap tops. We also had some hail tonight. it was small, but larger than pea sized. Not large enough for any damage, I'm sure, but I'm not going out to look either. I told Boo-Boo he's not going out tonight either. That's OK because he is wearing protection. I'll have to check with CrawfordGene to see what ever else winter tools I might need to buy before we get home. We are down in a valley close to a river; Maybe we need a pair of pontoons?

The latter sounds more likely. Raincoats and hats, umbrellas, knee high boots, inflatable raft and oars.

I hope you don't see any snow since we'll be there in about 10 days and with all my winter tools, I still don't want to pull a trailer in the snow.

Hi, this morning, inbetween storms, I sneaked out to my Lincoln to get my rain gear. I have a full-on rain suit and some real nice rain boots. I used them to take Boo-Boo out this morning. As you know we have driven in the snow while towing our trailer, but still hope that we don't hit any on our way home. [2WD/no chains]

Hi, this morning we left Brookings, Oregon going south on the 101 FWY. We noticed something very sneaky. Black Toyota Priuses (3) parked on the side of the street, with red cones around them, and dual radar/cameras on the roofs. [you will get you photo ticket in the mail, no need for any cops to pull you over] There was a bit of snow on the sides of the road, so there will be more to come. We stopped in Klamath to take a break while it was still raining. We saw more snow and hail on the side of the road.

(1.) Brookings after an all night car and trailer wash. [rain]

(2.) Trees of Mistery in in Klamath.

(3.) Snow.

(4.) Hail.

Hi, today's destination was Novato, Ca. We just got there before closing time and running out of gas. Gas in California was a shock after being in Oregon for a while. I had to go to two gas stations tonight, to get a full tank, since the pumps shut off at $99.00 at the Shell station and finish across the street at the Chevron station, for another $24.00 worth of gas. It took over two hours to get this WIFI to work, so I had no time to let Vinnie know we were in his town. We will be leaving in the morning.

(1.) Entrance to Novato RV Park.

(2.) Motorhome for those who insist on going green.

Bob,

Those Prii may have been Google cars that are taking photos of everyplace.

Please remove all snow from roads. I like the green motorhome, though it may be a bit hard to sleep in it.

Hi, those Priuses were definately not Google Map cars. They had Radar/Cameras on the roofs with both pointing towards the street, one aimed to the front and the other pointed to the rear. This part of the highway was nothing but trees. I have seen the Google Map cars and they have a 360* camera about three feet above the roof and they are marked. [Google Maps] We also saw many local radar/cop cars too.

There was no snow actually on the driving part of the streets, YET! I will tell them that Gene is passing through and to keep the snow off of the streets.
