Something has to break.

Hi, this happened a few days ago and I don't have a picture to show you. Our pantry, sliding shelf, got loose and opened the cabinet door. I went to pull the sliding pantry out but it was jammed in, all of the way. I found a board jammed in place. When I removed this board, I could open the pantry slide. This little board was supposed to be the stop and was a 1"X 2" with a few drops of glue and a dozen staples holding it in place. It is/was mounted on the back of a vertical board that cannot be removed. I will make something better when we get back home. [what was Airstream thinking?]

Bob, you can use winter blades year 'round, but the rubber deteriorates faster in hot weather and intense sun, so I switch them every fall and spring. Winter blades are best for wet snow. It is not that important if you stay away from snowy places, or if you're going to sell the Lincoln.

Sorry to hear about the pantry. Ours is different, but I had to fix the catch because the screws were pulling out and the pantry wouldn't stay closed. Used bigger screws for now, but will have to fill the holes next time with screw goo.

Is it still raining? Seems like you are around Salem. We'll be driving south along the coast starting late this month and going into Nov. I suppose it might rain. Our aim is to be somewhere where there is excellent wifi and cable TV on election night. So far I think we will be in Bandon, Ore., or Ft. Bragg, Cal. We'll also be just east of Portland on 10/29 before we go north to Wash. Any chance you'll be around (randomly of course)?

Hi, we don't know what happened, but we now have pretty good WIFI. The first night it was horrible. So far, most of the rain is at night and a little sunshine during the day. During the day and late at night is when WIFI works the best; People gone/working/sleeping. We might be back home before you get here. ?????

Hi, well my outside thermometer sensor has dried up and is now working again. Tonight it is 45 degrees outside. I already see a fix for my pantry slide; I can mount a back-stop to the front of the metal slide Assembly. I still have to wait until I get home for this repair. All hitched up to leave tomorrow, but may stay another day. [random decision]

Hi, while we are up, this is what Boo-Boo does. And this morning, he had to go out at about 2:00 AM to take care of business. Boo-Boo likes his bed to be under our table.

Hi, Lili-Ya. We cannot take our lemon tree, but Lee Lee is trying to start a new one from seeds. Rained all night long, but Boo-Boo still has to go out. Luckily it is just a light sprinkle now.

You would 'have' to water a lemon tree in Oregon.

Bob,
I have considered a move to Oregon. After a lot of research and observing the weather reports over a year or two, I am convinced that the most pleasant weather is in the Medford Ashland area. It is apparently in a rain shadow area from some part of the coast range. It is a fairly small area, however. The average yearly precipitation in Medford is 18.9 inches. If you travel northwest 30 miles to Grants Pass it is 30.9 inches. In the winter it is a lot milder than my second choice which was Bend.

Hi there... I moved up here in 2005 from California... I do love it... I bought a cottage on the coast near Tillamook.. now I'm living in Astoria... lovely little city, like a miniture San Francisco... it does rain... and some years it rains a lot!!! But I'm hooked, I wouldn't leave now... However, many of my friends go south for the winter months... mostly with/in an RV... that has a certain appeal... I'm working on it... keep having fun!!! gail and crew

Hi, Ken. One of our important issues is our medical insurance, in-which, is only in Salem and Portland at this time.

Hi, this morning we left Salem, Oregon and drove the coastal route. It was a beautiful, scenic, and rainy drive. We stopped along the ocean at a nice turn-out for lunch. The rain stopped as we had our lunch, but continued as we drove. Right now it is still raining pretty hard. Boo-Boo doesn't care if it rains or not; when he wants to go out, we go out. Ever try to hold Mary Poppins, a poop bag, a flash light, and a little dog's leash?

(2.) Boo-Boo saying good bye to Salem.

(3.) Scene from our Airstream door while having lunch.

Yeah, Oregon is a pretty place. I haven't been there in a while. Of course we did get our Airstream from up there......but it was winter and it was a fast journey.

Hi, tonight we stopped at Riverside RV Resort in Brookings, Oregon. It's a nice little camp ground with great WIFI. There were several small deer greeting us as we entered. I wanted to take some pictures of the deer, but it got dark fast, and they disappeared.
