Utah.

Hi, we made it to Utah today. We stopped at this cave and it was pretty interesting, but the sign explains it better than I can. We are camped out in "Bryce Canyon National Park". I forgot to mention that we get into these parks for free because we are very old. [senior pass] And the no-hook-ups camp ground was half price too because we are old. I also must say that walking to see the spectacular views takes nerves of steel [or aluminum] or pure stupidity as you walk and climb up narrow pathways made of dirt, gravel, or loose sand to breath taking heights; And yes the heights take my breath away, for I don't like high places.

Great photos, Robert, thanks!

Will we see any of the "narrow pathways made of dirt, gravel, or loose sand" and the resultant views?

Great Photos!

Bob: As usual, you've done a great job. Thanks. I saw "The Long Long Trailer" and I want to know, did you take out your brother's neighbor's pergola?

I think if Bob can back into his driveway, the neighbor had nothing to worry about.

Sounds a bit harrowing on the North Rim, but the views there are worth it. One of the few benefits for being old is the senior pass. My young wife keeps me around just for that. You don't look old to me, but maybe that has something to do with my age.

Thanks for taking the time to upload the photos with slow wifi. Been there, done that and I know how frustrating it is. Sometimes I end up doing it at midnight or later when everyone else is asleep and I've got the wifi to myself.

Hi, Aage. Today we saw some of those pathways and I watched as my fearless wife disappears on the paths as I stayed in the areas that had guard rails. At four times optical zoom, you can see an ant in the pictures, actually that is my wife.

Hi, Randy. I almost wiped it out; I told my brother to stand where I could see him in my mirror, but he wanted to use walkie talkies. He tossed one in my Lincoln, but the volume was so low that I couldn't hear him. I stopped to look and my trailer was inches from the corner of the roof and the corner of my trailer. Glad I stopped then. I turned the walkie talkie full blast and we were soon parked.

Hi, Gene. The WIFI is slow tonight, but I'm still trying to post. I hope I can get some done before midnight.

Good golly! I can see what made you nervous. Your wife is one brave woman, Robert.

Thanks for that beautiful photo!

Friday 15th of October.

Hi, today we spent all day in Bryce Canyon. Lee Lee did a lot of hiking, in places Bob doesn't want to go. There are lots of places to go and things to see; And if I can post some pictures it is better than me trying to explain some of them. In post #299 you can see one example of where Bob wouldn't go.

More of Bryce Canyon.

Hi, more pictures. These are all views to die for and if you don't watch your step, you will. We got a little bit of rain today, not much, and it is cold at night. I checked my propane level, as my tanks were naturally frosted this morning, and since we left home we have only used a little bit more than half of one tank. In South Dakota we had to run our furnace 24 hours a day; Here we only have to run our furnace all night long.

Animals.

Hi, you can't have a trip without some animals. The deer stayed their distance, but the chipmunk and raven were hams; They stayed in place and posed for pictures. The chipmunk ran around our feet while we were taking a break and the raven sat on the sign post and let dozens of people take his picture. My wife and I were able to get within three feet of him for pictures.

Hi, this is another great place to visit; And if you are into hiking, there are many miles of paths to take. I don't like heights and my wife always said that I better not get stopped on the road [by police] because I would fail the sobriety test while stone sober. I guess you could say that my running gear isn't properly balanced.

Old Town.

Hi, after seeing all of the sights, we went into town, Old Town that is. It looks like an old western town, but I don't know if it is real. I do know that the Ice cream store gave you more than your monies worth. Lee asked for a single scoop on a cone and I asked for two scoops in a cup. When they put one huge scoop of ice cream on Lee's cone, I knew that two scoops would not stay on a cone and then noticed that they had a sign stating that two scoops must be in a cup. "What if I accidentally drop my ice cream?" The nice lady behind the counter said, "We will have someone clean it up right away and make you another one." I almost wanted to drop mine on purpose, not really. Lee couldn't finish her ice cream so she gave me about a half scoop of hers. Two and a half huge scoops of really good ice cream, I felt like I was in hog heaven.
