Thanks for taking the time to upload the photos with slow wifi. Been there, done that and I know how frustrating it is. Sometimes I end up doing it at midnight or later when everyone else is asleep and I've got the wifi to myself.

Hi, Gene. The WIFI is slow tonight, but I'm still trying to post. I hope I can get some done before midnight.

Good golly! I can see what made you nervous. Your wife is one brave woman, Robert.

Thanks for that beautiful photo!

Friday 15th of October.

Hi, today we spent all day in Bryce Canyon. Lee Lee did a lot of hiking, in places Bob doesn't want to go. There are lots of places to go and things to see; And if I can post some pictures it is better than me trying to explain some of them. In post #299 you can see one example of where Bob wouldn't go.

More of Bryce Canyon.

Hi, more pictures. These are all views to die for and if you don't watch your step, you will. We got a little bit of rain today, not much, and it is cold at night. I checked my propane level, as my tanks were naturally frosted this morning, and since we left home we have only used a little bit more than half of one tank. In South Dakota we had to run our furnace 24 hours a day; Here we only have to run our furnace all night long.

Animals.

Hi, you can't have a trip without some animals. The deer stayed their distance, but the chipmunk and raven were hams; They stayed in place and posed for pictures. The chipmunk ran around our feet while we were taking a break and the raven sat on the sign post and let dozens of people take his picture. My wife and I were able to get within three feet of him for pictures.

Hi, this is another great place to visit; And if you are into hiking, there are many miles of paths to take. I don't like heights and my wife always said that I better not get stopped on the road [by police] because I would fail the sobriety test while stone sober. I guess you could say that my running gear isn't properly balanced.

Old Town.

Hi, after seeing all of the sights, we went into town, Old Town that is. It looks like an old western town, but I don't know if it is real. I do know that the Ice cream store gave you more than your monies worth. Lee asked for a single scoop on a cone and I asked for two scoops in a cup. When they put one huge scoop of ice cream on Lee's cone, I knew that two scoops would not stay on a cone and then noticed that they had a sign stating that two scoops must be in a cup. "What if I accidentally drop my ice cream?" The nice lady behind the counter said, "We will have someone clean it up right away and make you another one." I almost wanted to drop mine on purpose, not really. Lee couldn't finish her ice cream so she gave me about a half scoop of hers. Two and a half huge scoops of really good ice cream, I felt like I was in hog heaven.

Again, great shots. If I had to hazard a guess from the photos I would say that the town is a "re-creation". Very well done, though.

Thanks for posting such great pictures. I really want to make that trip too. I'm glad you posted how much we'll be needing the furnace in October. Hopefully someday we'll make it . . .

Love the ice-cream story. Our vehicle always seems to pull us towards ice-cream stands! Good to know where the deals will be!

Saturday.

Hi, this morning we left Bryce Canyon. I forgot to mention that we stayed at Ruby's Camp Ground. It is a real nice place, everyone is very friendly, and all sites are unlevel. I have never been to a place that required me to level my trailer from side to side. The camp store was out of leveling blocks and so was the General Store. I guess a lot of people needed blocks for the first time like me. Now what do I do? The lady in the store called somee guy in and asked if he could help me. I followed him to a container that was used for storage. He found two wooden signs that I could use, but I have to return them when I leave. Well the two boards that were about 12" X 18" X 1" weren't enough to get me level so I put one piece of fire wood under one end of the boards and backed onto them. Not perfect, like I would like, but acceptable.

Hi, we are at Quality Inn / Zion Canyon Campground / RV Resort. I just typed a whole page and got kicked out of WIFI again. I forgot to mention that we stayed at Ruby's Campground in Bryce Canyon. Zion wasn't very far away; Short drive for me. We got in for free again with my senior pass but I had to pay $15.00 to drive an over sized vehicle though a tunnel. The first tunnel is free, but the second tunnel is the one you have to pay for. They stop all traffic in the opposite direction, then give me the go-ahead, with instructions to drive smack dab in the middle of the tunnel. [taking both lanes, in both directions]

Hi, Zion is quite a bit warmer than Bryce. It was about 84 degrees here when we got here. We took a drive up to a lake, no signs telling how high we were, but there was a 20 degree drop in temperature. [64 degrees] When we got here we turned on the air conditioner; Now I have one roof vent open, no A/C, and no furnace. At almost 11:00 PM tonight my trailer is a perfect 72 degrees inside. No furnace tonight. In the first picture, this is what it looked like when we first got here. In the second picture this is what it looked like as the Sun was setting. [notice where my Lincoln is parked] In the last two pictures you might be able to see that my trailer takes up the whole space, from street to street. I had to block the street completely to unhitch. Right now it is 66 degrees outside and 73 degrees inside; I had to close my vent because the wind is starting to blow.

Zion Canyon.

Hi today we went hiking. They now have buses to take you from anywhere in town, to the park for free. Then you entert the park and they have buses that take you to all the sights for free. One of the drivers said something like, "One year there were 3,000 parking spaces and over 4'000 vehicles in the park;" This doesn't work, but the buses are great.

Hi, Wifi has almost stopped again and won't let me post any pictures. We did quite a bit of hiking today and the paths that we took weren't too scary. Most of the paths were paved, but not all, and some were very steep. I took a few pictures of some mountain climbers and in the pictures they are so small that you can barely make them out. The bus driver said that these climbs take about a day and a half to do. It is raining now; we had our vents open and heard what sounded like sprinkles and the next thing I know, my Fantastic Vent started to close by it'self. The rain sensor actually works.

Naked man!

Hi, this morning while we were having coffee, my wife was getting a refill, as she was looking out the kitchen window, she said "naked man, there is a naked man out there". A man was coming out from bathhouse and he dropped his towel. By time I got to the window he had already put his towel back on. But I could see about a dozen other campers watching and laughing as the naked man returned to his camper. I told Lee that I was going to watch out for a naked woman, but no such luck.

Hi, Vinnie. Today is our last day in Zion; We decided to stay one extra night. Tomorrow we stop off in Vegas and spend all of the rocks we collected.
