Hi, we will leave Monday morning; It should take about six hours to get to the campsight. I guess I should mention Monday, March 1st is our anniversary date. [32 years]

Takes a week to prepare for a four night trip? Normal for us, I guess.

Wife called..............Time to watch the Olympics.............

My Lincoln gets adjusted from 26 lbs front to 35 lbs and from 33 lbs rear to 40lbs. As stated on my other trips, from home to destination and back home I will only make visual inspections. In other words, I don't mess with them. As for lug nut torque, the Airstream gets 120lbs and the Lincoln gets 150 lbs. [torque was still good]

Next step was to take my hitch head apart, clean everything, and re-grease the pivots. One of the pivots seemed like it didn't stay torqued on our last trip so I replaced the pivot bolts with grade 8 bolts and self locking nuts. I still installed the lock washers.

Today I filled my water tank, hooked up my water hose, added toilet chemicals, fired up my water heater, fired up my furnace, fired up all three stove top burners and lit the oven. I tested my water pump and vent fans too. So far everything looks like it's ready to go.
READY FOR LIFT OFF !!!

Congratulations to you. We got our A/S just shy of 2 years ago. Our first year out, on our 35th anniversary, which we spent in sempi2. Last year although we didn't actually spend our anniversary on the date we did take a trip really close. We spent it at the steens mtns, with a airstream group, following a trip to the WA coast at my sisters vacation place. We have several months until our next anniversary (Sept), but we will most certainly celebrate our anniverssary in silver. And love it.
What could be a better anniversary than a campfire? BBQ steak? a martini? and some wine? and a cozy bed in an airstream?

Congratulations on 32 years of marriage! What a great milestone. I think a trip in the Airstream is a wonderful way to celebrate. We don't usually get the opportunity since we were married in December (just had our 20th anniversary).

We have 2 anniversaries—our wedding and the day we met. Since we knew something special was happening right away, the day we met (May 25, 1986) is the one we celebrate the most. It was the day we started getting married and our wedding anniversary is the day we told the world we already were. This year that'll be the 2nd day of our trip to Alaska and will be in our Safari. Quite appropriate since a safari is a long and and exciting journey and our relationship has been quite a journey as well.

Congratulations Bob and Lee and sorry, Bob, you had to watch the Olympics. So did I. Figure skating seems to be part of marriage too.

Old, but never too old to learn.

Hi, today Mother Nature washed my trailer for me; But as usual she didn't do a very good job. My neighbors probably thought I was crazy touching up the wash job, using my garden hose and a soft cloth, during off and on rain. That's OK, it made me feel better.

If you remember back, somewhere in my travels, I was having problems posting pictures because I couldn't resize them on my wife's lap top. My desk top has XL and I was able to download something to make resizing easy, but my wife's lap top has Vista and wouldn't work like mine. I was given some good help/advise from forum members and it worked good for a while until computer problems caused me to remove the downloaded resizer. Some-how I was still able to post my trip pictures, but it depended on how good the campground WIFI service was. Finally after checking more of my camera's features, I discovered I can resize my pictures in the camera; This way I can take pictures with a good image, and make resized images in the camera without losing the original. Problem solved, finally.

This picture was taken and later resized in my camera so I'm good to go. [Bob working very hard at his computer]

Last day before lift-off.

Hi, today I loaded all my food items and a few other things in my trailer. We didn't pack the refrigerator too tight because there is good food in Vegas and it is relatively inexpensive. [wife says we are dining out. no arguement there, from the chief dish washer] I also loaded all of my tools , chairs, and even tire chains. For a relatively short trip, distance wise, and for only four nights, I got everything ready like as if I was going on a really long trip. I haven't ordered a heated water hose yet, but I'm pretty sure I will have one for next year, just in case. We are leaving tomorrow morning, rain or shine. Due to weather conditions, [good excuse] the Lincoln didn't get a bath. We are tanked up, packed up, and hitched up in the driveway.

We stayed there two summers ago. We were in town for a wedding and our new truck was having problems so we ended up staying over a week instead of 2 nights. Not being gamblers we got bored and wandered over to the airstream dealer across the highway from the park. They had just got in a brandy new 2009 Ocean Breeze 28', my dream camper. Ended up trading in the Trail Manor and drove off into the sunset with Blueskyz.

Oh and the resort has the best family size showers ever. It's incredibly clean, the restaurant is not too pricey and the pools are great. Check in is very professional. Have fun!

It does look quite nice, from looking at their website. What's the difference between the various site rates, do you know?

Hah, I'm a total doof. We stayed at the Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort not the Las Vegas RV resort. When I went back and looked at the pool I realized it was a different place. Similar names though.

1st Day.

Hi, this morning around 8:00 AM we hit the road. Traffic wasn't too bad today. Our first stop was Peggy Sue's Diner. This is a place where you need to go there once, just to say you've been there. Food was good and the Dinasuars were neat. But no need to go there again.

Hi, here are some wild animal that are in Peggy Sue's back yard. This not what you would expect to see at a fifties diner. Well time to hit the road again. We need to make it to Las Vegas.
