Blythe, CA

Me and the Collie kids will be taking a trip to Tombstone, AZ over the Easter week. We'll be doing an overnighter on the way from our home in Orange, CA.

Question: Can anyone recommend a really nice RV park in Blythe with full hook ups. We plan on staying one night and don't plan to unhook the AS.

After the Hobo Rally in Blythe last week, we dumped at the Riviera RV Park which used to be a KOA. It is located just South of I-10 on the Colorado River. It looked like a nice park with a lots of amenities.

The first week of January this year, my wife and I stayed at "Hidden Beaches" resort in Blythe. It's about 4-5 miles north of town (near the fairgrounds where the Hobo Rally was) on the river. It is like a trip to 1960- kind of old and funky- and for that I really liked it. My wife was less happy, mostly 'cuz the bathrooms were pretty rustic. I'd go back, but my wife would strongly suggest the KOA, also on the river right by where the I-10 crosses to AZ. I think it is the Riviera mentioned above, and when we were there the KOA signs were still up. It was bigger, more crowded, more commercial, and I guess nicer.

You might want to consider staying in Quartzsite, AZ. It's only 25 miles further, and there are lots of RV parks there. Also, gas will be about 10-20 cents per gallon cheaper in Quartzsite than in Blythe.

I'm meeting my Aunt and Uncle in Blythe and on this trip they will be without their trailer and will be staying in a hotel for the night.

I went on line and I think the Riviera RV park will work out since its just up the street where they will be staying.

Thanks everyone,
