Pick, if you go are you taking the AS? And, if so, where do you plan on staying?

Bike Week in Daytona

The crowds will be considerable, but it would be nice to find a nice RV campsite 10-30 miles outside of Daytona, where you could get a little away from the massive traffic snarls.

Does anyone have any experience with any of the RV parks in a 30 mile radius of that area? Any recomendations appreciated.

Brian,

There are a number of decent RV parks within 30 miles of Daytona, from the die-hard bikers to the family parks.

I'd be happy to refer you to a park that fits your needs.

Daytona Bike Week

Hi John,
I have a list of RV parks within about 40 miles of Daytona Beach, but know nothing about any of them. Most of the rates I have gotten so far are a bit steep. Any recommendations appreciated. I think I would like to be 10-15 miles outside Daytona probably, I have been before an it is quite a mass of humanity in Daytona. I might like to get a away from it a little bit. Plus I think it may be pretty full up in Daytona itself.

I will be down from Feb. 29 thru March 6 (Sat) leaving on Sun., the 7th.

Thanks in advance,

Brian Sawyer

I'm thinking about going for Bike week. I'll be down there next week for a Photography Convention and plan on checking into campgrounds while there. Like most I'd like a place not to far out, but not to load either Wishful thinking eh.

Brian,

There are 3 that I'll suggest(note all campgrounds will be higher for bike week):

Ormond Beach is about 9 to 15 miles from Main St. and there's
Encore Super Park- 386.672.3045 Excellent park but not cheap BUT worth the money !

Tomoka State Park(Ormond Beach)- 386.676.4050- It's 14 miles and it's a nice park.

Daytona Beach CG- 386.761.2663- Just an all round nice park.

Good luck-John

Thought!

Sounds like there'll be a few Forums members down and thou most will be staying at different parks, maybe we could pick a place and time, and meet. Dinner? Beers? Dinner & Beer & Bikes???

Just thought I'd throw it out there-John

Daytona Bike Week

Hi John,
I have called all three you mention earlier today and all three were booked up, the best I could find was another Encore property cally Sunburst RV in Orange City still has space available and the rates were OK, but it's about 30+ miles out. If you think of any others, drop me a line.

Thanks,

Brian Sawyer

Sounds like a winner John, I am in. I'll probably just drive in from Gainesville, it's only a hour or so drive.

DAYTONA QUESTION?

QUESTION: What costs more? Campsite 30 miles out, or Hotel Room on beach
