As you are in Arkansas, are you looking at the south and east coast only?

Fort Clinch State Park, Amelia Island, Florida.
https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Fort-Clinch
Both the river side campground and the beach campground are great, with campsites no more than a hundred or two yards from the beach. If you want shade, take the river campground. For sun, take the beach side.

Matt, our favorite place along the beach is Rincon Parkway which is just off 101 between Santa Barbara and the Ventura County line. It's dry camping so fill your tanks. There are approximately 130 spaces where you parallel park along the beach front. Your literally twenty feet from the sand. You'll love it. If you have dogs, bring them.

Re: Beach Camping
Our favorite campground on the beach:
Beachside State Park Campground
Waldport, OR
GPS: 44° 22.862'N 124° 5.311'W
Campsites are immediately adjacent to the beach! Easy walk about 100 feet to where low tide exposes a couple of hundred yards of flat sandy beach that runs for several miles.
First row of campsites has limited shade, but some have a beach view. Second and third parallel interior roads are more shaded in the trees that border the beach.
Paved interior roads and pads. Wooden picnic tables, fire rings, electric and water, but no sewer. Flush toilets and showers were very clean. No dump station, but free dump stations available 17 miles north at South Beach SP and 17 miles south at Carl G. Washburn Memorial State Park.
We camped in site #40, which is on the turnaround at the end of rows 2 & 3. Beach front sites are prime, and nearly all had advanced reservations and were occupied. When we stayed here in April, two-thirds of the sites were in rows 2 & 3, and nearly all were empty. We had no neighbors, except for the yurts that were back-to-back with this site. Very secluded and quiet campground in off-season. However, I suspect it is packed in the summer.
Weak cell service (had to walk to an empty campsite near the highway). Weak 3G broadband was OK, but had to use external antenna and amplifier. Only one weak TV station (NBC), which was OK most of the time, but dropped out during rain.
Fee: $24-29 per night, depending on season.
Really enjoyed our stay here 04/13 through 04/18/14 -- Highly recommend this campground!

One of our favorite spots here on the West Coast would have to be Thornhill Broome.

Ocean Beaches only? Not to hijack the thread, but lake beaches should be included...

Both Hunting Island State Park, near Savannah, GA & Huntington Beach State Park, near Myrtle Beach, SC are both very pretty beach state parks.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Is there a particular geographic region in which you are most interested? And what time of year are you thinking of, this Fall maybe?

Here is a link to where we camped for a week in August. It would be hard to beat this beach.

Grayton Beach State Park, in the Florida Panhandle, is along a mile of some of the of the most pristine white beaches anywhere. The campground is on Western Lake. Google Grayton Beach State Park and take a look.

We don't mind driving. Just trying to get a good mix around. We once drove from the keys home straight 24 hours. wouldn't advise that again. lol
We have some friends in Huntington beach CA but we haven't been out to visit them yet.

Great Lakes Sand Beaches

Some of the best sand beaches are around the Great Lakes. One of the advantages of fresh water beaches is not having to shower of the salt from swimming in the ocean.
Within about 3 hours of Toronto there are three wonderful beaches - Grand Bend (Lake Huron), Long Point (Lake Erie) and Sand Banks (Lake Ontario).

Lots of great beach campgrounds on the Pacific Coast in OR and WA. Also, in WA you can find beach campgrounds in places around the Puget Sound and on the north shore of the Olympic Peninsula.
All of these are generally much too cold for swimming, but the beaches are beautiful, huge and great for walking, riding and most importantly, flying kites

BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Ten years ago I saw a parking lot, right on the beach that was free to RVs so long as you had toilet and holding tank. Don't know if they still allow RVs. It was south of San Diego.

700 miles south of you is Port Aransas, TX which is on Padre Island. The ferry ride over & back is free and you can go over with your Airstream. There are numerous RV parks and resorts on & off the beach, a state park (Mustang Island) and a federal park (Padre Island National Seashore). You can also drive on the beach and the county will give you a permit for overnight parking (boondocking). Corpus Christi is just across the bridge, Rockport about 20 miles...
If you drive on the beach, make sure and go by one of the many car washes to rinse the underside of your vehicle & trailer - good advice for whatever coast you visit.
