Bastrop State Park Texas

Even though the wildfires destroyed much of the park a couple years ago, it's still a beautiful park to visit and camp. Photos from a recent camp trip a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the update. It's not as bad as I thought.

Thanks for sharing.

Texas state parks are our first choice for weekend adventures.

Ha ! He showed you the pretty parts ! When I was there last year, yes indeed, there is a lot of it charred.
Still, it is a nice place.

Correct, if you open the photos and expand them you can see the charred and fallen trees in the distance. The positive though, those that fought the fires did an amazing job of saving the cabins, pool, golf course, other CCC constructed facilities and the campsites. Many of the sites have been upgraded to provide full hookups now. It's still a great state park to visit.
