We more than likely have stayed at the campsite you mention. When I traveled with my father during the 70's and 80's we primitive camped, he didn't believe in having a camper, said it was cheating. Then when he was in his 60's he bought a pop-up, called it a portable tent. Said sleeping on the ground hurt too much, had to have a matress.
I say the heck with that! I have to have an Airstream!
