You are talking about Wilcox Cove cottages and golf course. It's for sale if you're interested and have deep pockets!

Dad probably would never have said the witches --- thing. As it was, Mom would scold him saying "Ira, don't talk like that in front of the children" because, of course, "butt" was vulgar! I've taught my children to say Dad's statement and am working on the grandchildren.

How DO our Canadian friends tolerate this kind of cold all winter?

We are having a blizzard here, with winds picking up and temperatures dropping. It is COLD outside and going to get COLDER. Currently 13 degrees with 25-30 mph winds, and going to be minus 19 degrees tonight.

It is so COLD, with the blowing snow and wind, that Miss Lily.... a southern gal, ya know....will not do her business. She has not peed since about 8pm last night. Have tried to put her out twice this am, she takes a couple of steps into that mess and comes right back inside. Currently at 15+ hours.

We are snug inside, cleaning the house and packing to head south....a fire in the woodstove and Lily curled up, asleep, on the couch.

Having a balmy +9 here in Fairbanks. Only a few days so far this winter that hit -40 actual temp not wind chill. In 20 years here schools have never closed for cold temps, however they do stop outside recess for the little kids when it is colder than -20.

I'll second that. I'm all the way down in Tucson and the nights are still pretty chilly.

DC area - about 5 degrees this morning, with wind chills down around -10. Many schools are closed or have delays, but the federal government is open on the normal schedule. The drive in to work was fine, aside from some wind.

I really, really hope I did a good job winterizing the camper!

It's 0 now, we will have a high of 11 today. I hope not to have to go outside for much at work today. I would rather sweat bullets then be cold. 72 days til spring folks!. MPJ

Bitter cold, still, in central Illinois this morning, with a warmup coming to 10 degrees today.

55 degrees in the little stick house this a.m.

The choice to heat with the woodstove rather than run the furnace means chilly mornings.

It's okay....bundled up with fleece blankies and drinking hot coffee.

Angry Getting outta here!

We have to figure it some way of using the rig in the winter-getting it out of storage for a few weeks would be wonderful. However, getting it back in storage mode could be tricky on return trip. Right now it is not even accessible in lower level of garage😁

It was -12 here yesterday with a wind chill of -39. It seems to have warmed to a balmy -10 this morning.

I hope some of you all are someplace warm enjoying your Airstreams!

Currently at -9 here. Heat wave compared to yesterday! After reading all the lows in the rest of the Midwest, South, and East, I feel bad for everyone else. After all, we're somewhat used to these temperatures, but few of you are. Schools are closed here again but this time on their own volition (not the governor). It'll be +30 this weekend, which will feel like June after all this cold.

More interesting winter pictures. (not taken by me) Shots from Holland, MI, Grand Haven, MI & South Haven, MI lake shore. This is what happens when the wind & the waves play together & it's 0 degrees.

I thought you got that Airstream to go south in the winter?

When you posted this picture last Jan. you were doing just that. What happened this year?

Airstream factory was open (closed yesterday), but perhaps short a few employees still snow/iced in at home or prohibited by their county government for being on the roads today.

While walking from the service center to the factory building, the wind actually blew me short distances on the ice in the Airstream parking lot.

I saw +5 on the car thermometer driving back to the motel.
