Assateaque National Seashore
Claire and I went over to Assateaque Island to see how they were coming on the clean up. Glad to say that both the ocean and bayside camp grounds are now open, however, access to the walkin sites are closed. Also a small portion of the road leading to the bike and canoe rental arestill closed as in the other road that goes to the bay.
In addition the 1/2 mile board walk is closed, along with a number of other waking paths and the south beach parking lot. The off road section was open but is dependent on the weather and tides.
