I have camped at Denby Point, a Corp site on the south side of Quachita many times (used to do a mountain bike race close to there every year). It is west of Crystal Springs but I think all the corps sites are fine. I would take Hwy 27 all the way to 14 and then 62 over to Flippin (the factory tour of the Ranger Bass Boat factory is really interesting) and 178 up to Bull Shoals. Go thru the little town and cross the top of the dam. At the top of the hill after you cross the dam turn right and the state park is at the bottom of the hill along the river. Buffalo Point campground on the Buffalo river is very nice and is just off hwy 14 where it crosses the river. It is run by the NPS so if you wanted to break up the trip that would be a nice place to stay.
After you get settled in Bull Shoals drive down the road past the State Park and check out Gaston's resort. There have a good restaurant overlooking the river. I have been camping and fishing in Arkansas for over 30 years so I traveled all those roads many times. It will be a long day of travel from Quachita to Bull Shoals. Another option is going north 27 from Mt. Ida and cutting over and spending a night at Petit Jean Mountain state park. We love that place too. Great hiking and super RV sites. Then you could head up to Clinton Ark then pick up 65 on up to Marshall and hit hwy 14 ( we did that trip in reverse in October). PM me if you need specifics about the Bull Shoals area.
