Argosy to Alaska

And yet another blog on a trip to Alaska! We've been on the road since July 14 from Oregon. We've seen way too much rain! The Chena and Tanana Rivers are flooding here in Fairbanks. You can find our blog at
http://cid-24b910c26be5bdc0.spaces.live.com/blog/

We've passed the Airstream caravan to Alaska and are about three days ahead of them. Today we'll head down the Parks Highway toward Denali NP. Hope to see the mountain, but with all the rain, we may miss it!

I enjoyed your update and blog. Brings back great memories from 2006, and gets me thinking about going back. Travel karma coming.

I read your blog, I am so enviovus of you and your journey. I pray the opportunity comes along where my wife and I can make such an adventure. We just got an AS Bambi Limited Edition. We LOVE our new toy and have done some local camping here in Colorado. The Silver Dollar pulls along nicely behind Mr. Jeep. 01 Grand Cherokee. Have a blast and keep us posted. I'll be watching for new postings!

Trip & blog are completed

We returned home from our momentous trip on Labor Day, two weeks ahead of schedule. I've been spending time catching up and finishing our blog and sorting through the piles of mail that have accumulated since we've been gone.

The Argosy held up well and was quite comfy during the trip. It was easy to tow and we had no major "incidents" with wildlife or other vehicles. We saw one other Argosy on the road while in Alaska near Seward. We gave the Airstream salute with lights and hand waves!

If you're interested in reading more, our blog can be found at http://http://cid-24b910c26be5bdc0.s...live.com/blog/

Now we're ready to rally at Eagle Creek with the NW Airforums crew!!

Great trip

Just read through your blog, sounds like you had a great time with safe travels. We to had the same. Our caravan is over and we are heading home. We are currently in Wy and will take another week to arrive home and will have been on the road for 103 days. Even with the bad weather we had, it was an incredible journey and we are already thinking about our return trip sometime in the future. If you're ever east of the Mississippi get in touch with us, maybe we could meet up and compare notes. Our next adventure is the return to Everglades National Park where we work as volunteers from Nov to Apr. Got to enjoy the adventures of Airstreaming while we can.
