Are there any NASCAR fans out there?

Next week we will be heading to Talladega for the first time and also for this first time with the Airstream. Just wondering if anyone else is headed that direction.
We've been to several other tracks and can't wait to go. Any first time Talladega or Airstream advice? First time out for more than one night in the Airstream.

Sounds awesome. I've been to many tracks before, but Talladega is still on my list. At Daytona, the front straightaway was my favorite spot but I also really liked the infield. Problem in the infield is that is is one great big party and you cannot really see much of the track. Good part is it is one great big party! Lock your trailer and secure all your stuff around it. Then go enjoy that freight train! Unless of course they are still doing the boring two by two stuff...

I was wondering the same thing....we just got back from Kansas and Texas the week before. These were the first trips for the AS so pretty exciting for us. We have had these same camp spots with friends for several years...just new camper. We will go to Bristol in August.
Have fun.....Talladega is definitely on the bucket list.

They don't do the two by two thing anymore as of this year with the updated car styles. Should be interesting.....

We've been to Bristol, not camping though....tons of fun but the race seemed to go awfully quickly, I think there was only one caution the entire race. It was like sitting in a jet engine.

On a separate note, please keep your fingers crossed or whatever you prefer that our A/C just needs to be repaired and not replaced. I really don't want to have to buy a portable A/C unit just for this race. We leave next Thursday and there's no way it can be replaced by then with having to order parts...boooooooo.

I'm envious! Talladega & Bristol are still on my list. Camping, watching the crowd and not having to deal with the traffic is the only way to go.
