Just made an appointment for July 16th. We're driving cross-country, and figured this is our only opportunity in the near future.

I just inquired about some possible modifications to our Interstate.

Since we're in a moho, we'll be homeless and carless all day. We'll take our chairs out, and other necessary items (beer?), before they take her away.

Wondering also about our dogs. Depending on what we have done, I'm guessing it's just one day of work. Are we gonna be stuck in the waiting room with our doggies all day?

If we are stuck in waiting room all day, is there food there that you can buy? A cafeteria or something?

We thought we could maybe rent a car to tour around, but, would rather be on site in case any questions pop up while they're doing work.

You are in for a surprise, Jackson Center, Ohio is in the middle of no where, the town doesn't have many options for you.

The waiting room is nice and they do have free wifi and a TV, we crated our dogs, not sure about allowing them in the building.

As for food, there is a restaurant within walking distance, and the food wasn't that bad, the last time we ate there. A lot of the workers eat there. There is a Subway and a Pizza place a few blocks away. The best place to eat was 'Cafe Verandah' but it closed and now has new owners, not sure if it's reopened yet, and it's right across the street from the service center.

The Heidout Restaurant & Bar LLC - Jackson Ctr - Jackson Center | Urbanspoon

Cafe Verandah - Jackson Ctr - Jackson Center | Urbanspoon

No place to rent a car, unless you go to one of the larger cities in the area.

There is a Subway and The Corner Pub for food. They are about 3-4 blocks away from the plant. There is a shade tree by the campground and a picnic table. Not much to do in Jackson Ctr. Can take the plant tour (nice) but no puppies on it.

Hope that helps!

There will be several other Airstreamers around. Easy to make friends. Very little effort required to hitch a ride on area bars, etc. The company store is an excellent way to splurge all of your excess cash.

Our plan for our September service center appointment is to travel 1-2 hours away to visit attractions.
