Anyone going to Jackson Center,Ohio?

I'm gonna be there this Sunday to who knows when. If anyone is going come see me or visa versa. I'm gonna start my thread probably tomorrow and head out Saturday from Texas.

Just seeing if I am gOnna be alone up there. Weather is suppose to be ok...just kinda chilly at night...around 18 for a low. During the day upper 30's- lower 50's.

Hopefully someone will come in........gonna be bored to death I believe.

Do a search on here. There is an upscale restaurant in town for lunch or dinner The Veranda (not always open,) and the grocery store has great chicken to eat in or take out. You can always get in the truck and get back on 75 and take it to Sidney's business district and shop. There is also a museum or two, bicycle and aviation (?) I have read about in the area. There is a map on the wall in the lounge and also Amy or the other staff will tell you places you can visit while you wait. Take the factory tour at 2:00, every day!! I am sure you will introduce yourself or they to you among the other Streamers you will meet there. You can check out the couple of local state parks in Ohio that are not too far for a drive and hike and take some pictures. Oh there is some retro burger joint in Sidney...maybe some one can chime in and tell us the name. Good luck with your repairs.

Shane,
You've probably already heard this elsewhere. If you staying a night in the Terraport and want a sewer connection take an extra 10-20 feet of hose. The sewer openings are in the oddest place and way behind your rig, at least for most of the stands.

Also, don't leave your water hose hooked up and on overnight, lest it freeze solid. Don't ask.

And you'll be pretty close to Dayton and the Air Force Museum. Quite a fabulous place, and easily worth a day if you need something to do.

On the way up 75 if you come that way. Be aware of THE DREADED " ROAD CONSTRUCTION" in downtown Dayton. On your way up check out the TIP OF THE TOWN resturant at TIPP CITY EXIT. THEY GOT BUFFALO BURGERS.
And defineatly check out the Museum of the United States Airforce. ITS worth a look while you are here. There is plenty of parking so if ya want to stop on the way up its not a problem.

Grew up in Sidney. Carol, I think you are talking about the Spot restaurant downtown on the SW corner of the court square. Been in business since 1908 I think. Great food. The strawberry pie is amazing.

Shane,

I read your thread yesterday, and thought we'd stop in to see you, but read on and saw you aren't arriving until tomorrow. We were scheduled (and did make that trip) to be approx. six miles from "The Mother Ship" today to pick up our Goldendoodle puppy, so, sorry to say, we won't be able to meet you. We always enjoy talking with Airstreamers. Sorry we missed you.

Wow!!

That's awesome that you would have even considered me in your plans. I feel honored. I'll see y'all on the road sometime.

Pics of the pup would be nice.

Again thank you for thinking of me.

Shane
