Any forum members at Topsail Hill?
Well, I had to pick the coldest day of the year to bring the trailer home to pack,
-11F (-24C) here this morning! Anyway, it is all hooked up and packed and ready to roll early tomorrow AM if we don't get snowed in!
Our first park stop will be Topsail Hill, where have have reservations for ten days starting Monday 16 Feb.
The weather there for the first few days doesn't sound great but still a vast improvement on ours here near Toronto!
Anyone else there over the next couple of weeks? We are supposed to be n site 112.

Well, not exactly at the campground, but we live 3 miles east of Topsail on the same road. We are currently camped in Lucy over in Jacksonville, but hope to be back home before you leave.
If you have the time, we would like to get together while you are there. Shoot me a PM, and I'll send you my direct email and cell phone number.

We are very pleased with New Lucy. She is our second 25FB and our third Airstream.
Take a look at New Lucy's thread, http://www.airforums.com/forums/f516...light=lucy%27s

Dude, it's officially cold below 32... After -20 it's FREAKING FREEZING! (And you have to,yell it like that). You guys are made of a different material than I am. I'd sit around whining all day. Can't wait until it's summer up there, and winter down here... I'm hoping that's how my future works anyway.

Brian, when I click your link above, it's takes me to a thread on running the fridge while traveling, and you're not even in the thread... Problem on my end or the forum end? Oh, and the thread is from 2002. Old...

It's a cross-technology anomaly.

Wingeezer, did you make it south ok? The weather reports showed nasty stuff on 75 or 79 and lots of cold, like -26 this am. Jim

Wingeezer, hope you made it safely down to our warmer climes without incident. If you love the Top Sail area beaches there is another state park about eight miles east of TS on 30A. Grayton Beach SP is just a regular state park but would allow you the opportunity to continue to enjoy the beaches and the area. I have volunteered there and really enjoy the GBSP experience and beach access is much more convenient. Have a grayt time in the relative warmth.

Grayton is one of the best parks in the State. It has about half full hook-up sites. The beach is a half mile of absolutely pristine oceanfront with some of the most beautiful dunes anywhere. The park is also directly on Western Lake, one of the larger of the very rare Dune Lakes along this stretch of coast.

It is amazing. Florida is the only state system which has been recognized the best parks three times with last year being the most recent. Additionally Grayton has been voted the top park in that nationally awarded system many years running especially now that they have half of their sites as full hook up.
I've also volunteered at Eden Garden SP, eight miles away and Camp Helen SP only 15 miles away, both interesting day use sites. Both well worth a visit and both offer launching into either the gulf or the Choctawhatchee Bay.
Hope to meet yall when you next visit Grayton.

I agree with the comments on Greyton Beach State Park. We just spent 6 days there a few weeks back and are resting at home in panama city before our next adventure
