Any cool rv parks around Portland, Oregon?

I've almost completed fixing up my old trailer and am going to visit my brother who lives in Portland, Oregon this fall. I will be traveling from Wisconsin. Does anyone know of any decent RV parks within about 30 miles of Portland? I'm looking for a laid back rv park. I've heard that some rv parks have all these rules like your trailer must pass a visual inspection(my trailer has a few dents here and there)...or no kids or pets..or no one under 50 is allowed. I really want to avoid those snooty types of parks.

This is my first voyage so I have no experience with rv parks.

Thanks.

Eric

I don't know how to post links, but the Columbia River RV Park, is a very nice large park, just across the street from the river, with easy to use pull-through spaces, they can be reacged toll-free at 888-366-7725.
However, for the greatest, laid-back, country atmosphere park, with it's own beach, and little store, I would not stay anywhere except the Sauvie Island RV Park, 503-621-9701, yes, it is on an island, which is mostly farmland, picturesque, the family that owns it, has lived on the island for over 150 years, too good to miss, and only about 10 miles or so from downtown. Easy access too. Come-on out.

I found their website and it looked perfect and I was very excited but then I read this:

"Units acceptable must be 1989 or newer, self contained, a minimum of 24 feet and in good condition"

My trailer is 1961. Why do rv parks have these rules?

Some parks are sticklers, some just have them so they can throw out undesirables easier. You never know until you get there.

What part of Portland is your brother in? Portland is a big place, you don't want to be staying on Sauvie Island if he's in SE Portland!

I got mixed-up, the old time family, the Reeders, have a park, that does indeed speak of restrictions on their website, But the number I put-in post was for the other park, and they have vintage Airstream and others in park, it's a nice place, it's called Island Cove Park, hope it works out.

My brother has an apartment downtown...not too far from that park with all the roses. Pizza Oasis is nearby.
