Another sucessful trip....

We just returned from a weeks camping near Gilroy, CA. At a campground called Casa de Fruta.

It's more of a resort with a hotel, resturant, petting zoo, and more.

The kids had a good time as we used this place as starting point for Bonfante Gardens theme park and Great Ameriica .

The kids also got to feed some peacocks and deer breakfast

Only one problem with the trailer. The shower leaked water into the closet. I thought it was the showe drain But now I think it is leaking around the faucet on the bathroom sink. Since ours is a wet bath the water is flowing around the faucet and into the closet. So a little dap should do it

Here are a couple of pics of the camp site.

Enjoy.

Awesome trailer! Sorry to hear your wetbath was a little 'wetter' than usual! Sounds like a pretty cool trip otherwise

Thanks Stephanie. We all had a good time. And I have come to realize owning an AS is just like owning a house. There is always *something* that needs to be worked on

Vern ! LOL. I don't think my humble polish job is quite up to AS life's standards But thanks for the thought. I probably won't have time to polish more since I spend most of my time counting my millions ....

I'd like to see more stories from people using their AS. Don't seem to hear a lot of camping stories and pictures. I like to see that stuff since that's what its all about.

I agree! That trailer's plenty polished for the mag - they took a bunch of my pictures for future use if they need them, and it doesn't look half that good.

I love to see camping stories too. I always report back when we return from a trip!

We just got back from a successful weekend camping in the Everglades. Unfortunately the lens on the camera fogged over, and ruined the picture. It was, however, similar to this one taken Memorial day weekend in almost the same spot.

Tim, she can look back on those pictures 60 years from now at a rally when she's sitting next to her own Airstream

Great trailer and photo's!

Tim-

Loved the polish job and pictures of the outing... I just returned from shakedown cruise to Monterey/Marina, including amateur fireworks shows plus big one over shore of Monterey Bay.. Fog and gloom made picture-taking not worth effort... (For non-northern Calif readers, it's quite common for SF Bay area temperatures to be over 30 degrees apart in summer.. Hot and sunny in San Jose and cold and foggy in Monterey an hour away..). Learned too many things to list, from "where's the awning wand?" to "why's the water cold in the shower?"... All to be addressed in time for great adventure tour, through Canada to Oshkosh... Saw another vintage AS Trade Wind in the RV park, but nobody home while we were walking through looking at preparations for July 4th celebrations...

There are reports of trips and outings in a number of forums, but I sure appreciate all the technical advice and assistance as well..

Garry- Thanks for the nice comments. I think the *Finally got started* crew will always support each others polishes!!

Steph- That is a very neat thought. Thank you!

John- I know what you mean about the temperature changes around here (CA). We forgot to take some jackets and regreted it. I think we may get some older ones and just leave them in the trailer.

Glad you had a nice and interesting outing. That is what it's all about.

Tonight, my little one wanted to go outside. I thought she wanted to go on the swing. But it turned out she wanted to sit in the AS and talk about her trip And that's why I do it....

I've been thinking about outfitting the trailer with a couple days worth of clothes, jackets, stuff like that, so it can be ready to go with most everything we need at the drop of a hat. Seems like we forget something different every time!
