Another One For the Birders

I had never seen one quite like this. The guy sitting beside me couldn't keep his eyes off it either! He said he would love to get closer - to take a really good look.

I have since learned its name, but thought I'd throw it out to you, since many are so keen about this sort of thing.

So, what is it??

What a beauty. Nice picture too. Looks like an Audubon print.

Ahhhh. I see the picture of Bobby. This might explain the piles of feathers I find around the ranch....no real concentration of the species.

Since there's no scale bar, I'll play it safe and state that it can be hard to tell the difference between smaller male Coopers and larger Sharpie. Your screen name implies a relationship with accipiters - very cool

It is neither a sharpie or a coopers or a goshawk?
BTW Yes I have flown and bred all three of the North American accipiters species plus these guys.

Bald Eagle

I like seeing the bird photos so I thought I would add one of my photos to the mix. This was taken on the Mississippi River at Davenport,Iowa.
