We were able to spend the last week at Fort Bragg, CA at the
Pomo RV Park . It's a nice little campground. However it has very few extras. We really miss having a playground and game room with the kids.
We were able to visit the
Botanical Gardens, what a neat place. Besides all the neat gardens there was a short walk out to a cliff house where there was an indoor picnic table with a view off the ocean. We enjoyed lunch there while watching the waves. One of the photos shows the view...
We also checked out the
Point Cabrillo Light House , while the light house was nice, it was very disappointing the way they have it laid out. You have to park a half mile away and walk to what was merely a gift shop with a light on it

Hopefully they will work to improve this.
MacKerricher State Park was a very neat place. Free to enter and to park. There is a nice, although long walk on a nice peir system to get to where the sea lions were. There were also several chimpmunks running around and pretty tame as a lot of people must feed them.
We also made a trip to
Glass Beach . Glass beach is a neat place, but don't go looking for sand
And lastly we checked out Mendocino. One of the attractions was the
Ford House Museum ,which cronicles the tales of Mr. Ford starting the Redwood industry in the area which ultimately created the little town of Mendocino.
We also could not miss stopping at the
Mendocino Chocolate Company for a tasty treat
Below are a few snap shots of the trip. All and all it was pretty nice. Overcast most days around 60 degrees which beat the 100 degree temps of home!
