Angel Lake CG, NV - How Accessible with 30' AS?

Curious if anybody has experience getting a 30' AS into Angel Lake Campground in Nevada? (part of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forests) It looks like a great spot, but on a number of websites it is indicated that the road is not recommended for large RV - even thought the camp sites can hold a larger rig? We are looking to stay here this August.

The fall back would be to stay at Angel Creek at a lower elevation and then drive up to Angel Lake in the tow vehicle to look around.

Has anybody done the trip before?

I tent camped there 35 years ago with Loretta. Can't remember the road up but it is a beautiful place. We were in a tent with 2 dogs, there was a terrible thunder and lightening storm. The tent blew down, and we ended up sleeping in the car!
