We are currently at the KOA in Chautauqua NY and saw 4 on the way yesterday from Cleveland (where, btw, we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which was WONDERFUL!!). We parked at a rest stop in Pennsylvania for lunch and there were TWO other Airstreams in the parking lot - we parked next to them - very cool!

We almost always get a flash or wave back when we see them - and it's still exciting!

Sierrafun, the Airstreamers we've met are pretty discrete-- haven't encountered any old guys in trench coats so far.

We're currently on a trip from BC to Colorado and Utah, are pleased to report acknowledgement from every AS we've passed on the highway.

I was at work, removin trees fromn the side of the road when an AS pulls up to the stop lights. I pointed to all the guys and said "Look! An Airstream!" They kinda glanced and went back to work lol. I guess you gotta own an Airstream to appreciate them lol.

By the way, anyone with a newer model AS come through Olney, IL on Rt. 130 last week?

It's been posted before, I think on the "Airstream Sightings" thread ( http://www.airforums.com/forums/f48/...ngs-13707.html ) but it was great to see them in person! Yesterday we saw the "Silver Bean" ("Beans" since there are two) in Cortez, Colorado. Really a treat!

I've seen three Airstreams this past week right in my home town...where have they all been hiding? Every time I was wishing I was towing mine so when I wave with joy I don't look like a psycho path!

First Trip Out

We finally took our first trip in our 2013 16' Sport. Orange County to Yosemite National Park and back (1,000 miles). We we're a bit dissapointed, we saw only one other AS on the road (we both honked and waved).

In Yosemite we saw one vintage Globetrotter pass us on the road as we we're sight seeing in the TV. Our last night out was at the Boulder Creek RV park in Lone Pine and met a very nice couple in their 2012 16' Sport and we exchanged comments about our rigs.
