Alaska progress

In BC saw lots
Of wildlife buffalo crossing
The roads in front of us. Muncho lake gas was $7.25. Hwy robbery. We are in Whitehorse has getting. Healer $5.21 gallon. YT needs to borrow animals from
BC. Not much 1 bear. Heading to tok tomorrow. Good Sam parks are working for us

I have not been to Muncho Lake in 30 years, but way back then, I talked to one of the owners of a small store where they sold gas. He said his Diesel bill to run the generator to make power for the business was $2000 a month. That was in 1982 or so. Imagine what it must be now. So, don't be too hard on them, it is a very costly area to get supplies into and to resell. I don't think they are making a killing on the tourists, just a living.

And yes, gas was expensive then too.
