We did a similar trip after leaving HOT Farmington, NM last year. We drove up on the Alcan instead of the water route. We pulled our 25' Excella and had no troubles. It was a great trip. While in Fairbanks, we took the an excursion van to the Arctic Circle. Then we were fortunate to see Denali twice in the clear!!! Once from the north as we left that area and then from the south when we decided to backtrack to Talkeetna after staying in Homer. We fished in the Kenai river for salmon near Soldotna and for halibut from Anchor Point. We rode the sightseeing train from Skagway. The glaciers were great to see as well. I felt the highlight of glacier viewing was the stretch of highway from the Cassiar to Hyder. Maybe a dozen glaciers in about a 15 mile stretch. Beautiful!!! And you are usually close enough to many of them to hear the melt water rushing into the river.

By then it should be September, time to head back before it snows too much. Enjoy, fishing will be great this year for salmon, and trout fishing in the fall.

Hi. We are starting our plans for Alaska also. Towing our 16 with our RAV4 Plan on Glacier NP and Banff and Jasper. We have reservations in Denali in sept.
That's all the plans we have. So any advice and recommendations would help.
Thanks
Nancie

We have been having a blast in Alaska, not too much connectivity but that is not all bad. We are 5500 miles and 4 weeks into the trip and could not be happier with the 310. First stop Jud ND to pick up some friends and another motorhome, Glacier NP, Waterton Lakes NP, Banff, lake Louise, Jasper NP, Prince Rupert, hop on the Alaska Marine Highway hopped off in Ketchikan one night, got off in Wrangell and Petersburg, off in Juneau 3 nights, Skagway and finally off in Haynes. Great drive from Haynes to Tok, kenai peninsula for a week, Kenai Fjords National park, Whittier, Seward, awesome boat trip in Kenai Fjords Np. Denali for 3 days Awesome, in Valdez now. Their were many many stops between these and I will try to do a better job writing it up in the future. So far so good.
