Alabama bound

Hello,
Would we be able to receive some advice on where to camp in Alabama for three to four weeks? A passing friend said to locate ourselves near Foley as opposed to staying at the Gulf Stream State park where there is more wind. I am not sure what that means. Is wind an issue along the gulf?

Secondly is there a local safe place to store our Airstream for six weeks while we travel back to Ontario Canada for the Christmas season?
Regards
Brian

Hi Brian. Here's some food for thought while awaiting a more relevant response:

The Mystic Springs Airstream Park, located locatd 30 miles north of Pensacol, Florida will store your trailer for a $1.00 per day.

Heres a report of campsites from Port St Joe to Alabama Gulf State Park...

The Alabama park is wide open to weather, but I would not think that bad.
The campground 'Big Lagoon' would be much prefered with its shade trees and location to Pensacola museams.
