We are just new owners of a 31 ft Sovereign 1973. We live in Baja (La Paz area) for most of the year, but have never towed anything down there before.....we have been nomads in a 9 1/2 ft truck camper. Has anyone had any experience with a big trailer down to La Paz? What should we watch for....be careful of....etc. Thanks for any info at all.
I would look through the archives about worn axles. The age of your unit it is probably time forr them to be checked and possibly replaced. Big reason mention this is the roads down there are fairly rough and worn axle will put a lot of extra stress on the camper. As Torsen axles age they loose their spring and they also settle making for less wheel travel. Not a good combination for good roads....brutal on bad roads.
