I have never been to either one but, have been told about

(1) Top of Georgia - is suppose to be a very beautiful park; WBCCI only.

(2) Pensacola, Fl - just heard about this one at the last rally.

There is an Airstream Parks Directory, seventh edition, 36 parks, 1998. Tedra Smith, 1022 New winsor Loop, Sun City Center, Fl 33573. $10.

Top of Georgia

We just spent two nights at this park and had a great time. They have full hook ups as well as cable TV . Only costs $6 a night. Be aware that the state of Georgia requires a screw-in sewer connector. We didn't have one but were able to buy one at the park for $4. The town of Helen is only 5 miles south and is a quaint little German style town with lots of tourist shops. Candles and chocolate type things. Good beer. There is a great place for lunch or dinner south of town called Nantachoochi or something like that. An Indian name. Excellent.

Check the Rates section on their web page. I suppose pricey is in the eye of the beholder.

$ 40.00 for a full hookup site, lake front, in high season does not seem pricey to me. Most of the fees out here for full hookup sites hover around the $ 30-35 range. ( Not lake front, not beach front)

Anyone know where we can get the full list?

Anyone out there care to share their experience in the other AS parks ? (location, hospitality etc)

Would appreciate as much info as possible.
Thanks

Wouldn't the salt spray from being on board a ship be as bad as, if not worse than, the salt they pour on the roads over here in wintertime?

Some transport ships will store vehicles INSIDE and Shipping containers Outside on top of the deck.

The way we were thinking of going is through Canada and that would involve the use of ferries which transport vehicles on the open deck. We thought of covering the bottom with a skirt and make sure the rest is very well waxed. Once you get on the other side just rinse thoroughly.

It's an expensive long project so it may be postponed for a little while. We're still figuring out details of it but are very excited and can't wait to do it.

Better yet, how about an area for 'Airstream Parks' under "On the Road"? This seems to be a regular topic.

We're still gathering information and checking for other AS Campgrounds all over the world.

We wrote to Andy (organic hosting) and he was great (as usual). He's probably going to create a direct link to the updated list so that it may be easily accessible to everyone. I'm not sure but it might be on the homepage under 'quick links'. Cool!

We thought of adding two more columns to the list:
1) the urls
2) A 'star' grade (1-5, like hotels).
Forum members, who have actually visited the parks, could vote for them assigning them 1-5 stars, based on: cleanliness, site size, accessibility etc. (still need to determine that, any suggestion highly appreciated).
