Some News from Airstream in Europe...

Beginning of May we had our first Airstream Germany meeting at a quite little campsite in the Lahn river valley between Limburg and Koblenz.

Three days of fun, logfire and bbq. realy enjoyed it.

Best regards
Armin

I am originally from Heidelberg. Germany. Great pictures - but how the heck do you all get around with those units on those small side roads in Germany??

Hi All,

@ holland
wow the meeting in the Netherlands looks nice.
But I cant see any of the new european Airstream Modells there ?
On the other side we had only one vintage at our meeting. But there is only a view ones one the road here in germany. Actually I only know 2 that are realy in usage as a travel trailer.

@ticki2
the fire pit is made out of an old steel pressure tank.
The owner of the campsite specially build it for us.

@wolf146
Well here in europe you might face some challenges if you tow an airstream.
As you might have see in the movie the entrance to the campsite underneath the railway bridge was quite narrow.
But thats why we are mainly using 2,3, wider Airstreams and the biggest european modell is around 27 feet.

Thanks for your feedback...

Why not keep an european rally all together, Then there will be new and old trailers together. Not only in Mirepoix once a year.
And maybe, in some years , when my project is finished , i will also be there

Great pictures and great movie!

Thanks for sharing the pictures and movie, it is fun to see people from other countries enjoying their Airstreams, just as we do here in the USA.

Heej we recognized one couple from an earlier meeting in France !

Hey guys from Germany,

Watching the movie I instantly recognized Michael and his lovele wife,
we allready mett them in France at last years airstreammeeting.
You are lucky he came, as he is a great entertainer !
Unfortunately non of our dutchies can measure with his talent !
Next year we should try and arrange a BENELUXGER (for Germany) meeting somewhere central perhaps ?

Meantime,

we want to wish all European Airstreamers a great summertime !

Regards,
Kai and Pieter

Aheun , I'll have to find one of those pressure tanks , that firepit is just what I have been looking for. BTW it looks like from the video that the 70's trailer has a shattered front wing window , just so you know they are still available from the factory.

Holland , those are some sweet rides you guys have.
