Accident near Bend, OR?
I just saw this, an Airstream involved in an accident by Bend, OR. Anyone have any other info?
Here is another story but no picture or mention of an Airstream.

Below is the text from the story and the photo. I know that articles sometimes have a short life on TV and/or newspaper sites.

Santiam Pass Back Up | KOHD
03/12/09 Santiam Pass
A frustrating afternoon for anyone trying to head over Santiam Pass. Highway 20 was closed in both directions for more than three hours about five miles west of Hoodoo.
At about 1:40 p.m. Thursday, a pick up towing an Airstream trailer hit an ice patch and tipped over. Hazmat had to be called to the scene to clean up a propane leak. No one was seriously hurt.
One lane was finally reopened just before 5 pm with a pilot car leading traffic around the wreckage.

Catsandi....this wouldn't be yours again would it? I seem to recall you heading out that way from FL.
For those that don't know the story, Catsandi (I believe is her screen name here) rolled her 31' Classic and truck. Both were fixed and last fall, she got hit by a police cruiser....again the Airstream and truck fixed.
Last I heard, she picked up the Airstream at Jackson Center after repair and was headed out west.

No, it looks like a later model Excella (blue stripe on the side) to me.

I saw an Excella (I think) heading south on the 217 yesterday morning on my way to work (in the Portland metro area). My first airstream siting on my way to work since starting here in December - so it made me smile...

Catsandi, The last I read, had the "key" in hand to her new home and, was unpacking the trailer/truck at her new home.
The inferences is..she's alive and well. One happy camper, by now.
And not the person involved in this accident..

I was on my way home from Eugene (Picking up my new Solar System from AM Solar!!!) when I got stuck in the 6 mile long backup from this accident, and that was almost 4 hrs after it occurred! Not sure what happened, but both the front and rear end were heavily damaged. Apparently the propane tanks were under the pickup which somehow ended up on top of the trailer and it took them awhile to extract everything safely. It was quite a mess, and I think the trailer is totaled. I didn't stop to take pictures as there where enough problems already! No serious injuries however!
