Ummm, that makes me ask:
Ever used your cell phone to report that kind of situation? I have! And in one notable case, was called back and told the outcome! Guess the guy did not believe he had to comply with towing regs!
If you do make the call, give as complete a description as possible for both the TV and the trailer, lisence numbers if possible, current location, direction of travel, and how the rig appears to be handling!

Elizabeth...all the time, and overly aggressive drivers too. I have the HP numbers for 5 states programed in my cellphone...and yes I do use a hands free But unforutunately in NC the average response time for HP is approaching 30 minutes...IIRC the stats correctly the number of drivers in NC has increased 141% in the last 15 years but the HP has only added 2% more officers to handle the load. In this year's budget they asked for money for 56 addtional officers, and at last check they were being given money for 5

I appreciate what you're saying. I suppose the Sheriff's departments are no better staffed? Here, this type of complaint is often turned over to Sheriffs. And the fastest way to get a response is to comment along these lines...... I'm not sure if it is a towing problem, or the GUY MIGHT BE DRUNK!!
For what it's worth, here in Iowa anyway, the Iowa DOT can enforce.. those blue cars are not just for enforcing regs on commercial haulers!

Yup. "Can you check the oil? The light's been on for a week or so."

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.
