A Road Less Traveled...

No worries, no hurries, heading south: Sevier Valley to Big Rock Candy Mountain, on to Antimony (and lunch), then to Dixie NF and Pine Lake. Life Elevated.

Utah is a long way from New England, but I can't wait to get back. Beautiful state!

You sound relaxed... enjoy.

Yup

Some beautiful pictures your displayin'.
Out of all the states we visited in May, we had the most fun in Utah. Great state!
So jelly! Can't wait to get back there.
Peaceful, safe & pleasant journeys to you & your family. God bless America!

Gavin

Nice pictures. Someday I will get to Utah.
BTW - what is that mat outside your trailer door? Would like to get something similar to kick off the dirt before entering the trailer.

Hope you're staying cool. We are heading down there when it cools a bit more.

Thanks, folks - a cool 55 degrees outside at bedtime, but perfect inside the AS. The rubber mat was something we picked up at Home Depot, and it works well to keep out the gravel. Will check for a brand name in the daylight.

Long weekend courtesy of our state holiday, Pioneer Day.

Regards - Ron

No brand markings, but here's a better picture of the 3x3 mat. It's set-up for interconnecting pieces but we just use the one for gravel control. Bought it awhile back at Home Depot, and use it regularly, transporting it in the bed of the pickup.

Regards - Ron

I didn't know Big Rock Candy Mountain was real.
I thought is was a silly bluegrass song in "O Brother Where Art Thou".

No worries, as our Aussie friends like to say: old school motivation, then a short hike to Pine Lake, a quick drive to Barney Top (views east toward the Henry Mountains), then a late ridge line hike overlooking the lake (the cliffs of Bryce Canyon in the distance.) Life Elevated, continued.

One could adjust to this pace of life, some fishing, some hiking, now chilling with Mrs. Utah Man under a pleasant evening sky with some Blues tunes and Cab.

The long weekend trip sadly comes to a close... one last photo, Butch Cassidy (Parker family) childhood home a couple miles south of Circleville.
