A Pleasant Surprise

We pulled into The Woods RV Park in Montgomery, Alabama, earlier this evening. We are on the last leg of a two week trip, and are about three hours from home. As we making camp and hooking Lucy up, a young lady stoppped by and introduced herself. She is an Airstreamer and a host camper here. She is Vicki Canto (katzklaw on the Forums), and has a fully refurbished 1964 Globetrotter. She was really excited to meet another Forums Memeber. We spent a couple of hours talking to her in Lucy. We plan to see her Globetrotter in the morning.

This goes to show that you that you should display your Forums numbers on your Airstream.

We went over to the '64 Globetrotter this morning. They have really done a nice job on her, and are presently full timing in her. It's nice to see the proud old girl in daily use at almost 44 years old.

They have managed to include a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the old girl. This is quite a feat in a 26' Airstream.

Yes, she was at the Can Opener last year. Vicki tols us that she is hoping to come again in January.
