A place to overnight
Polite RV owners would only do that if they were there to eat and leave, and there was plenty of parking available. In that case I park as far away from the store as possible. That also keeps our dogs from barking at passers by.
I’ve had the opposite problem more often: cars parked in the RV spaces making them useless to me when there were plenty of regular parking spots available.
If there is no designated RV parking available for overnights and no other way to park safely, I just move on.
It’s nice to be polite. Unfortunately polite people seem to be in somewhat short supply lately, especially on the highways.
