I'm livin' it!

Since I got my first Airstream 2 years ago, I've spent about 10 nights OUT of it.

Last night I completely vacuumed my whole home... 7 minutes total.

I feel like such an underachiever . 18 nights and just under 3,500 miles - it was a very slow year for travel for us due to health reasons. Hopefully next year will be back to normal and we can truly enjoy our travels once again.

This was a big year for us: Feb found us traveling to Key West and back - about 20 nights and 5,000 miles as I recall. A short trip to VA mountains for a long weekend netted 4 nights and 250 miles. Next to Alaska and back in July - Sept: 66 nights and 13,300 miles. I think the last trip for the year was to Alabama in early Nov - 8 nights and 3,500 miles. So 94 nights and just under 22,000 miles for the year. Whew!

But we may add a trip to New Bern, NC after Christmas - so still counting, maybe.

2006 Airstream Nights

7300 miles, 31 nights
Just took delivery 1st of March, did 7 Horse Trials @ 600 miles roundtrip each.
One 3000 mile roundtrip from Southern Middle TN to Western ND.
Just bought out my soon to be EX-wife's share, so I don't have to go back to ND.
Gee....Sedona sounds good!!!
But I'm still going to do the Horse Trials w/my daughter!

About 100 nights, and 7,000 miles, more or less. Looking forward to more nights and less towing miles during next year.

Dang!! Tramp Streamer, you got me. I was kinda' thinkin' I had this one rapped up but due to the price of fuel I took a lot more time on the phone this year... I'm in Wilmington NC tonight....at Wal-Mart of course. My total mileage since Jan. 3/06 to date is 17,128. Now how many nights will take a whole lot more time to figure out. I average 3 nights a week and 3 weeks a month on the road. But I also have a couple of two week swings into the western NC mountains so we'll leave the nights to another post.
I can tell you how much I spent in gas but I'm keeping that a secret until after the holidays.... don't want to spoil my Christmas spirit. (it's in the I don't want to know department so far.

We spent 67 nites in two different Vintage Airstreams and traveled over 12000 miles towing one or the other. In fact we just got home from rescuing a third vintage unit from Georgia. Listened to The VAP most of the way. Can't think of a better way to travel, pulling an Airstream and hearing Rob laugh.

It looks like 50 nights and approximately 6000 miles will do it for 2006. We hope to up that in 2007 with our trip to CA/OR/WA and then to NY and ME. The life of a professor of recreation and leisure studies beats the you know what out of being a 24/7 athletics administrator. Thank goodness for loving and supportive wives, loyal dogs and an itchy hitch on my Airstream.

Hi,
I spend 28 nights in my Airstream in 2006 and traveled aprox. 2000 km. But Holland is a small country.... I bought a 1963 Sovereign and a 1977 Argosy MOHO. So let's see wat 2007 brings....(a lot of work - that's for sure!)

22 nights, and 1200 miles. Next year will be a more active year for us, we are making two trips to the mountains of North Carolina, as well as the International in Perry, in addition to our normal camping schedule.

More Than I Expected!

Including our upcoming trip between Christmas and the New Year we will have 27 nights and about 1800 miles. That's more than I expected but still not nearly enough!

Can't wait to hit the road again for 2007.
