2 weeks, 7 States, 3 twice....

Well the ambassador was not complete when we left but I have 4 days here at my folks in Washington state to get the fridge, furnace, and water tank working...

We left Colorado at 3:30 am Sunday morning, With my 3 and 6 year old. The wife flew to Seattle..

We saw 5 other AS on the road and a AS motor home. COOL>>>

We slept in a rest Area just out of Yakima, Wa at midnight sunday night. Then drove to my folks in Spanaway, Wa at 5:30am

Saturday We leave for the Oregon Coast then down 101 and highway 1 to LA. Then I get my new axels put on at ANDYS.....

Then on to Las Vegas for the 4th and then home..

So we hit, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington. Then Oregon again, California, Nevada, Then Utah again and colorado...

Drove in the worst weather, Rained so hard I pulled over for because I couldn't see driving 25 mph.. Then the wind blew so hard, that if I took cruse off going down hill I slowed down..

I drove 65-70 mph most of the way and got 9.8 mpg. BAD

I usually get 11-12, But I will drive slower and hope for better weather on the rest of the trip.

and it never got above 65 degrees all the way here. MAN whats up with the weather.....

Quite an adventure! Sounds like one of our trips, sans the 3 and 6 year old. We drove the last two days to Jacksonville in 100+ degrees.

Keep us posted on your journey, and be safe

We are in Seaside, Oregon and would love to see your Ambassador and compare notes. I would be happy to help you find you a good campground in the area. There is a nice one in Cannon Beach with a indoor swimming pool. I took my grandkids for the weekend and camped there(14 miles away)or if you want to boondock with electricity we have space at our summer campground.

I've got to second 'Blue Pearl's' recommendation of the Cannon Beach RV Resort. We've been there twice, our last visit just last weekend. Top notch, especially if you request a back in spot towards the back of the facility.

Purman:

You do know that hwy 1 and 101 can be very narrow, rough and windy in spots, right?

I will be praying for your safe passage.

Looks like good weather on the coast this week, ENJOY. If you are staying in the Cannon Beach area, they have a great city park to run some steam off the little ones.

Well, we had a nice drive from Spanaway Wa. down to south of cannon beach.

We Have a camp site a Nehalem Bay State Park, very nice, Trees between sites and just a walk through the dunes to the beach.

The beach is windy but It's the first time the kids have been to a sand beach this big. We have been to the beaches in Washington but not like this.

It's only $20 a night and it has electric and water hook ups. Not bad and not packed in like a RV campground...

Maybe headed for the Redwoods tomorrow..

Let us know how that area is. We've been thinking on going up there, but I'm worried about the roads along the coast being rough, narrow and winding. Specifically south of Crescent City.

Thanks, Mary
