Fuel can was inside a black truck box. Diesel went everywhere. Another lesson learned. I am currently in Parrsboro,NS and was able to find a yellow fuel can with an air vent.
These user-installable vents are the way to go. Use a 1/2" spade-type wood bit, drill a hole near the top-rear of the gas
can, and use a mallet to install.
Great get-around the modern gas cans that have no vents!

Those look a lot better than the rubber valve stems that I installed and failed. I don't know if pressure can build up in the tank while installed in a black truck box.

I was able to find a 20L diesel can in Parrsboro, NS with a built-in vent. I didn't see any signs of leaking after I got home. I couldn't find it on Amazon. I also put an aluminum cooking pan under the tank with paper towels. It was a mess to clean-up after the valve stem failed as diesel went everywhere.
