Wonderful!
I am not into Lionel Railroads other than I am a great admirer of them and love the awesome set ups that folks do. We used to have a train under the tree for Christmas when I was a youngster and boy do I miss that. Can't wait to see everyone's photos!!!

I'm a member of this place: Southbound Model Railroaders, Inc.
And yes, I've made sure there are a couple of Airstreams there.

Don, I picked this one up at www.airstream.com the company store. They have several models at different scales and prices, all pricey. Our Lionel setups are 1:48 (1/4) scale and this 1953 is 1:43, not enough to notice on my traintable.

Your Airstream model is great.
I'm an armchair model railroader, sort of. First:
In case it's not clear, that's a Christmas tree set up, with an N-scale Pennsy train in our Airstream over Christmas. It's an E-8 pulling two heavyweight coaches, a combine and an observation. I have a couple more coaches, and a PA-1, but as you can see it's limited track space. I also had the power pack and took video of it running.
We also do the Lionel under the tree at home every year, and I have a bunch of HO scale stuff too. Unfortunately we just do not have the room for any sort of layout, so I mostly dabble rather than build.
I had an HO scale Airstream kit, but I gave it to my dad as a gift. I also have an Airstream and a Mustang die cast model that are roughly HO scale.

I've seen Terry's setup in a box, very cool!
I was wondering when you were going to bring that up, Terry. Too bad the tracks around the potty idea got nixed.

Yes. It was a 2x4 two level layout. After some judicious "doctoring", it looked pretty good.

Lionel....
Made the "mistake" of cleaning out Mom's attic 40yrs ago...
Well you can guess what we found...been acquiring ever since.
Took down the layout when we moved several years ago so it will be a work in progress for the foreseeable future. I know that Lionelville AS is packed away somewhere.
BTW...Anyone interested in an 1805 Land, Sea and Air USMC 5 car set? Just picked up a spare.
Bob

Robert - That is really nice. You should find it & proudly display it.
Or . . . just send it my way . . . My '53 isn't that shiny, yet. But I am working on it . . . if only slowly . .

Ok...I give up,'kinda
Realize... that although I may be the Engineer I cannot do anything without the Conductor's approval. I have not been authorized to display or assemble said accessory.
After an hours search I have located the item in question. I have not broken the seal under the threat of banishment.
Included are first person photo's...
PS...I am the 8year old adult.
PPS.... Here is a contact where said object may still be available, please get your Conductors approval.

They are sold out. Sold the last one- which was supposed to be for me- to another customer. I had requested that the dealer bring it to a local train show for me so I could save on shipping and the one brother sold it to another customer before I got there. Ugh!!
