1,000 more miles

Well 1000 more miles then we will be in NV to get our new AS We had some set backs but we will be there to get it by Sunday

All the way we talked about what all we would do and places to go even if we get it back to Dallas and never get to go at least we tried and that is all that counts

Be Blessed and if your out on 40 watch out for us

oops not sure if I wrote this in the right place ... I am always lost in here

Flagstaff KOA is a good spot to layover from Nevada. We'll keep a eye out for you.

we saw the koa when we passed through. That would be a good stopping place for us. We are 250 miles to Carson and stopped for the night. Watch for us if timing is right we will be checking in there tomorrow night no laughing though as neither of us have ever spent any time in a trailer other than the bunk of a semi could be a comedy of errors

Stop at a Wall-Mart or such and buy a liquid-filled radiator or two just in case you have furnace issues. It's cold at night here.

well we made it here and the hitch we bought does not work but hoping that another hitch will work. Seems that the LP bottles block the sway bars so no hooking up

Melody the trip back will be when the errors of inexperience will come lol but we planned on parking it at Sandy Lake in the DFW area until DH health is stable enough where we can go off for our adventure ..was the only place I could find there. We had some friends that were going to meet us on Weds to teach us what to do but they have to leave before we will be able to get back now....

You will find that RVers and especially AS folk are very helpful. My husband and I have spent alot of fun time just sittting in our AS talking about trips we would like to take.

Is there a Airstream dealer in town? They or a good RV outlet should be glad to check everything out for you; you do have a drive ahead of you. Good luck.

thanks Mike we are meeting a RV guy at 9:30 and hope we will be on the road soon after that. When we called the guy he told DH that with a 1 ton dodge we should not need the sway bars .. sheesh I wish it were a gooseneck that I can do.

We are hoping to get to Flag for the night, so look for us tv is a red dodge crew cab. I will have to get more extensive help when we get it back to Dallas. But already figured that when I started this venture.

Dannie your right RVers are helpful and a total different group of people..so refreshing to know that there are still ppl out here that are laid back and help others still ...

You have a good weather window; should not run into anything from NV to Flag. How long is the coach? Do you have a route planned? There are two dicey parts of the trip: through Las Vegas and the "shortcut" from Laughlin through Bullhead City towards Kingman, which I would not take. Stay on 95 to I-40. Fuel will be cheapest at the Lake Havasu turn-off on 40. That is a long haul from Fallon to Flag, you might want to dry camp overnight around Amarogosa Valley off 95 depending on when you get out of Carson. There is another dry camp south of Searchlight at the CAL-NEV-ARI resturant parking lot. Don't burn out the first day!
