I saw one about 3 years ago at a local RV dealer. It was locked up and I couldn't see much inside but what I saw I liked. I love my trailer but would rather have a Squarestream at the hunting camp than my 25' Sovereign.

we all with squarestreams sure appreciate all your work researching the history you have provided. I bought uncleneal's 89 32'er. I was surprised how easily it pulled up I -75 to eastern ohio. I am in ocala fla visiting and hope to meet up with lee fields in haines city to see his 29'er apart before he finishes it. His pictures are helpful and i think by them that his has sprayed in urethane for insulation as it looks just as what i put in my new home in 1986. It has superior insulating qualities being around 71/2 per inch besides also being structural and waterproof and sticking to anything it is applied to like wonderfully. I'm sure if that is what they have that it helps tie the outer skin to the inner cage of aluminum. My sqsteam is very good yet but there are some places where the inner panels don't look as new. Some may be from heat or water- as i don't know yet-it isn't new but I think it is a sound design and i am eager to learn more about it's construction. I am willing to pay you to make me a good copy of your picture of the aluminum skeleton and the structural description described within the picture. Keep up the good work. I hope that we can all share our findings. I am certainly interested in what lee finds or any other suggestions on replacing original wall or ceiling coverings on sqstreams, and any other hints or suggestions for newer owners. This is my first airstream and my only other experience is witha 74 26' argosy and a 1950 33' spartan mansion. best to you all Arthur Carle
Thanks for sharing the information, although I did not see your photos. Please forward to our regular mail starlitelodge@aol.com when you have time.
I can remember going into the fiberglass models on a dealers lot in Charlotte in 1991-2. I do recall that he had three sizes in stock and I know one was a 33' Fk (it was sold), a 29', and I think there was a 26'. It has been so long ago, it's hard to remember any of the details. The one that was sold, the 33, had been purchased by a Doctor in SC. He also purchased A new Airstream B van at the same time to pull this Land Yacht trailer, so he and his wife could travel and base out of the trailer while taking side trips with the class B. I remember all this because I talked to the Dr. and his wife the day they were there picking it all up. They couldn't have been nicer, and were quite excited to begin traveling. I was green with envy to say the least..
Thanks again and let keep us posted on your squarestream..
I sure would like to thank everyone for there kind remarks
I hope that anyone with more info will add it to this posting.
I sure would like to know how many where made as Argosy and how many as Airstreams.
Great article jimmini. I now know a whole lot about Squarestreams. OK, I at least know enough to think I know a lot. They are all part of Airstreams history so it is neat to know what they are.
Thanks for taking the time to write the article.
