I am new to air forums, and active on the square stream thread. I have an '89 32ft trailer.
My wife and I live in it full time, we are planning to renovate this summer, keeping most of it original.
I am looking for a few parts, an oven part, an awning part, a rim... does anybody know how interchangeable appliance parts are, and awning parts are, between models of airstreams, between rv's in general? I have an old magic chef oven and need a part that is discontinued, how far can I go back in years, makes, and models, to find a compatible piece?

Welcome to the forums! You will find a wealth of information here to help with your reno.

Good place for replacment parts is Out of Doors Mart in NC. Very knowledgeable and can tell you if they have a part or if something is compatible.

https://www.outofdoorsmart.com/

Another good source is Colaws in MO. It is a salvage yard I have dealt with both and been extremely happy.

Looking to replace flooring in our Squarestream bedroom soon. Please post pics and we all like to see what folks are doing. Good luck!!

Thumbs up 1989 Argosy 29'

Newly acquired Squarestream (didn't know that was the nickname when I got it). 1st Airstream and I sure would like a doghouse for the tanks. Suggestions? let me know... I might have to fabricate one. Cheers!

Welcome to the world of Airstream! First off, we want PICS!!!! Us Airstreamers love pictures!

Someone will probably jump in here with some suggestions for a doghouse. In the meantime, you can search above for ANYTHING and typically find some answers.

Looking forward to seeing you out on the road!

I just eliminated mine. Still have it though, but it's getting kind of brittle.

Congratulations! We have had our Squarestream for about 3 years now and taking advantage of the quarantine to do some updating. We have stripped her down to the skin to repair some leaks (found way more than we thought we had!!) and replacing the walls with aluminum. Having to work in sections because we do not have an indoor space to work and store everything. The process is taking a long time, but she will look awesome!!!!

Hope you enjoy your new trailer and see ya down the road!

You're main leaks are going to be the two seems that run the length of the roof, the fibreglass endcaps, vents, where the awning attaches and window seals. I addressed those on mine and let rain fall on it for 8 months before finishing the interior.

Good luck with yours.

'87 Argosy 27' I'm just getting into the process of a remodel. The unit is in good shape, and has been in my backyard acting as an office and occasional crash pad. The goal is to get it back out on the road. We'll be posting pics of the remodel via the IG handle #SqrStrm.
