let me know if i am thinking this thru all the way...
most of the interior front and rear (lounge and bedroom) look like the pic below...paneling and ceiling pulled off...aluminum studs and yellow expanding foam insulation...so here is my question...
20" x 50'Aluminum Roll
this is a link to the material i am considering using as a wall material...but i intend to order this in the 36'' inch by 50' foot rool...price 79.00 plus change..i thought the price was good and the mill finish looks nice...
lowes also sells a 1/4 inch folded blue insulation that costs 33.00 per ....now this is 48 inches tall and about 50 foot long worth of insulation....
so my question is...considering the aluminum studs in the trailer and the gap in the foam insulation...in some areas this leaves a 1 to 1.5 inch gap to the face of the stud...i want to clean each section between the studs...cut to fit the insluation, squeeze in place and try to come flush to the stud face...next i want to place this aluminum roll in place and fasten it to the studs...then some edgeing or molding in the corners and i think it should look nice...
please correct me if i am off base in any way...
next question...this aluminum roll...how do i attach to the stud in the best way...rivets, liquid nail of some sort....what are your suggestions...i will have an overlap of about an inch in the aluminum if i go 36 inches from floor up...and come 36 inches down from top edge of frame..prior to roof curve...
i am asking for feedback...my only other thought in wall board was the white tileboard from GP that is sold at lowes...water resistant and easy to keep clean...
i am planing to use the white frp sheet from lowes for the ceiling material
