1988 Argosy Squarestream -Expertise Needed

Hi there! My name is Katie and new to the forum. I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible about this model. I worry about the availability of parts since it isn't as common as AS. In addition, information about it is not easily found. I'm ok with updating/upgrading but would like to know, how challenging would it be to fix things that break? Also, any resources would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Katie (Houma, LA)

I'm in the process of doing a complete shell off restore of an 89 Squarestream. As far as I know I might be the only one dumb enough to do a Squarestream....don't quote me on that. I think Jimmini is the expert here, although I've had every nut an bolt, wall and floor, and every appliance removed from mine, and now it's going back together. If you need any questions answered don't be afraid to message me.

I am not an expert. You have seen more of the insides of a Squarestream than I have.
Me I am to old to even think of going where you have.
The last one that even went anywhere near as deep as you was a guy in FL a few years back and did a lot of posting about his.
I think Katie gave up on this one she said in PM to me.

I have the opportunity to purchase a 89 squairstream. How much are the worth now? On a scale of 1-10 with 1 as junk and 10 as like new, I would say it's a 8. Currently, it's being used some as a weekend retreat on a permanent site. It hasn't been moved in 3 years it has never had any leaks and has had the roof rube coated right before it was parked 3 years ago. It was also Profesinaly painted at the same time. Thank you for the insite!!

That's hard to say. I'm just guessing here, but I'd say about half of what an 89 Exella would be, if it's in good shape. I paid $7000 CDN for mine, and that was too much, but mine was a 2 out of 10 and I ended up gutting it. They are rare though. The construction is essentially the same, better in some ways, and they're roomier.
