wallpaper on interior alum panels

Hello to all,

Has anyone tried to hang vinyl wallpaper on the interior aluminum panels?

I am in the process of taking all the interior panels out of the camper and have found what appears to be vinyl wallpaper on the panels. Some are loose at some of the edges and can be peeled off rather eaisly. There is no signs of glue or residue on the aluminum, other areas seem to be glued pretty good and won't peel off. My idea is to strip off this vinyl and redo using a vinyl wallpaper.

I'm not sure what kind of paste or glue I should use. My plan would be to "size" the panels and use some type of wallpaper paste to hang the new
wallpaper.

Anyone with any experience or knowledge about doing this would be very helpful.

I used a wall paper from Lowes that you tear it into pieces, soak in warm water to activate the glue and then put directly on the interior skin. It makes an interesting look, covers well and has held up for three years now...

Regards.

Thanks Reganzo for this bit of information. I have taken all the panels out and am striping all the vinyl off. I will try the standard wallpaper paste, after sizing the panels, and hope that it will work. I suppose I should clean the aluminum panels with soap and water before sizing the panels.
