Question Vintage Spartan EuroPremier MoHo?

I realize this is not an SOB Forum, but my brother just passed a very old MoHo labeled "Spartan EuroPremier". Anyone ever heard of or seen one of these, or know anything about them? I've searched the Web, and can't find reference to anything by that name that's older than the 1990s. This rig was MUCH older. Any help, links, or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Never heard of it, but I'd sure be curious to see a picture. Was it in pretty sad shape?

According to my brother, who owned my 370 before I got it from him , it was not in sad shape, but definitely looked like an old MoHo. He saw it today in Richmond, VA, but wasn't able to get a picture or talk to anyone at the time. He said it looked very much like the older Champion MoHos, that used to be quite popular in the 1960s and early 1970s.

I googled it and saw pics of mid-90 models and they looked like they are nice shoe boxes. Cummings diesels and onan diesel generators, etc. But I'd never heard of one or seen one before this thread.

I got the same, but the one in question appeared to be about 40 years old...very strange. Oh well, at least we know there was such a thing in the 90s . I'm still hoping someone will come up with some info on this .

Maybe someone put stickers from a EuroPremiere on it? I have seen that more than once. Best one being the Yugo (remember those? ) with a full set of Porsche badges

You know, I thought of that. Especially the "EuroPremier" label. I'm not even sure that would have been good marketing in the 1960s. Almost a reverse of the Yugo deal . The fact that there obviously were such vehicles in the 90s makes this look very strange indeed.

Sorry, dead end . The description I'm getting is a rather boxy large (maybe about 34 feet) vehicle with flat windshield in front, rounded corners, but otherwise rectangular - typical of older MoHos during the 60s. Thanks again for the picture.

Speaking of rivets, I just noticed I've graduated to a Rivet Master . Boy, that's not a good sign if people equate that with advanced knowledge. All I've done, mostly, is ask LOTS of questions . On a very few occasions I've actually known something that help someone else, but it's mostly been on the receiving end. Thanks to all who have helped .

Best,

Tim,
Congrats on Rivet Master (doesn't matter how ya got it as long as it was legal )

That thing must be a real beast. Rob was trying to convince me I should buy it, he found the thing in coastal Carolina. IIRC it is something like a 52 Spartan Manor that someone converted to a MoHo. I think it was a 75 drive train. Real interesting, but I need another project like I need a live hand grenade with the pin pulled. My current project list (not including the honey do list) includes 2 Airstreams (full monte's), a 1976 Pace Arrow MoHo (FIL's), a half built hovercraft, a Teardrop, a 1963 Dodge Sweptline D100, 1952 Chevy 1.5t, 1951 Farmall Super A, several bicycles and a couple of scooters. all of which require major work. I never get simple projects...

Aaron,

Sounds like Rob has some great ideas for YOU to do projects . I kind of like the Spartan conversion to a MoHo. I've seen pictures of that kind of thing several times. You sound like you've got a full plate. I'm having all I can handle with the Blimp, an Avion trailer, Suburban, several cars, and enough "honey do" projects to keep me busy for a lot longer than I'll likely live. And my list looks like child's play compared to yours. Do you ever get out and use this stuff ?

One thing I've learned about simple projects - there aren't any ...

About 1 weekend a month we were headed for early retirement until a) the airlines screwed up my bride's retirement and b) she started a wedding salon I figure I will never die...too many projects to complete

ok since this is a thread about something Spartan, I thought I would post this question... I found a 55 Spartan Mansion that has been parked a long time. The owner want to give it up, and I wonder if it is worth pursuing.
I have not seen the inside yet , outside seems ok, but there are no tires, its up off the ground on blocks, and hasn't been moved in many moons.
Worth looking into? Its 32 feet long so it would not be aneasy go and load it on a flatbed.
Also until I see the details inside I don't know how bad or good it is.
