Hello All! Digging thru the threads as I am thinking of a Travelux too! Love the Canadian connection.
Hi Betsy! I lived in NS for years! Mother lives in New Minas still. How are you doing with your trailer?

None..but my wife asked me last week if we are going camping this year. I better get that bathroom finished.

I told her I was holding out for a nice cheap piece of granite for the bathroom counter, but I think shes onto me now. Better get on it.

Alexdubs, I sent you a PM a few weeks ago about the Travelux brochure that you have. I hope that it went through. We are just finishing up on applying POR 15 to the frame. Initially my husband was bemoaning the fact that it has a 5" frame but after seeing some rusted out frames on the Airstreams he's happy that it's so solid. The only major leak we have is over the stove fan/vent.

Thought I might bump this up to motivate me to finish the bathroom
Didn't touch the trailer this year, and really even forgot we own it until I got my birthday email from airforums . Oops.

I should just sell it, so someone can make good use of it, but its just so cool to have an almost one of a kind!!!

It's beautiful, don't sell unless you really won't use it. Bathrooms, highly overrated, go camping anyway.

Well. Guess I'm back on track. Lol. A few years later I decided I should really finish our trailer.
Cut a piece of Corian for the bathroom counter, and picked up some paint.
Going to replumb the entire thing just so i know its all good.

One question. When I purchased the trailer, over 10 years ago, I did so witha bill of sale only. No VIN. The seller had never registered it. He also included his bill of sale from the previous owner, who also never registered it.
So my question is, I know there was originally a paper in one of the cupboards with all the info from the manufacturer. Its long gone. I have searched the frame for a stamped one, to no avail. For those of you with a Travelux, where is your stamped vin located? And how many digits-letters is it? Notice my original propane tanks. Chances are the trailer wasn't used or registered im decades.
I can get an assigned VIN, from the province, but would much rather have an original one.
Any help would be appreciated.

10 years outside. In the elements. No leaks. Amazing. And my polish job held up remarkably

you are correct. when i spoke with "travelux kid" she advised that the travelux trailers did not come spit shiny, but could be if you paid extra. the original factory documentation backs that up

take a good hard look at the tongue. the vin is stamped there on my 1969, as well as found on a data plate on one of the closet doors

After reading more, trailers of my era were only a 4 digit vin. This was on my tongue. Just my luck though.
