Travelux trailer for sale

Browsing around Kijiji last night I spotted this Travelux trailer for sale. Now I want to buy it but should I? I already have 1 that I have not done anything with. But if I buy this one I will have 2 out of 3 models they made, and the biggest collection of Travelux trailers in the world (well who do you know who has 3?)

What do you think I should do?

Three of a kind, and a rare brand at that, and made in Canada. Is there any question? Buy it.

With more than one, your status will rise from "eccentric" to "collector". I say go for it, and begin your search for the third one, just to complete the collection!!

. And I like to remind myself of something; and that is, that someday, we will all be dead for a very long time. Do every crazy thing that you can think of, while you still can! lol:

Be prepared. If you buy this one you know you will be yearning for the hat trick!

There was a smallish Travelux (about 22') parked in a driveway a few blocks from us. It sat there for many years but it is gone now.

$4000. Has been out of commission for years. Present owner is a dealer who bought it a few weeks ago and towed it 30Km. Says brakes, tires and lights OK, roof vents and a few other things need work. So I would say a complete reno is called for before it can be used.

There are 7 photos in the ad

AirStream - Cambridge Travel Trailers, Campers For Sale - Kijiji Cambridge Canada.

Note that the ad appeared November 7.

Would appreciate your opinion and insight. And, how does your Travelux compare to an Airstream? I mean in terms of repairs, comparing difficulty of working on them, cost of parts and materials, and whatever you have learned in your project.

There are a couple of cheap Airstream 31 footers on sale for $3000 and $4500 but both have fairly severe body damage.

That seems a reasonable price to me.
I think both airstreams and travelux are gonna have there issues.

Sorry never finished my reply. Better frame on the travelux. Better interiors on airstreams .

I would check for rot / rear end separation. One thing I noticed in my travelux is that the fasteners that held down the floor Chanel were wimpy. Not sure if that was all modals. I guess it all depends on how much you

I think you should post a whole bunch more pictures?

Sorry I keep sending my replies before I am done.

Dang I phone .

I was gonna say I think it depends on what you want to do with it and far you want to go. It is a huge job to renovate, and once you open it up it is kinda a can of worms! If you have the time and the resources go for it.

Jon

^^^^^ See link to Kijiji ad.

All I have are the pictures from the ad. The trailer is about 200 miles from me.

Having some difficulty copying the pictures. Seems to work best if I copy one pic per post.

Here is the kitchen/dinette.
